James Wilson

Personally I'd have him stay the first half of the season along with selling Hernandez. Use him in cup games and off the bench. If he does so good that he becomes important for us then perfect, we keep him. If he looks good but could do with the more playing time he'll have boosted his image and gained some hype. I think more teams will be willing to guarantee the playing time and take the risk in playing him after he's got some hype and already put in some good displays and bagged some goals. I'd say the number of clubs willing to guarantee Januzaj playing time after his debut would have been a lot more than if we sent him at the start of the season.

I'd look at Wigan for Wilson. They liked having Powell there last year, regardless of the fact his attitude got him dropped towards the end of the season under the new manager. They need a striker or two to help them score goals and it's not even far away from Manchester so Wilson would be in familiar surroundings.
We've reportedly turned down loans offers from Wigan and Burnley so it looks like they are interested.

That's a very good shout. After just a couple of his early games we'd have had clubs gagging to take Januzaj on loan if we'd made him available. Obviously our wings weren't that competitive last season so there was absolutely no sense in us doing that, but it might be a good approach with Willo.

If Martinez doesn't manage to sign Lukaku permanently then I definitely see Everton struggling to land a good enough striker to cover the combined attacking threat of him and Deulofeu next season. Give him half a season of some disappointing budget forward and a few hype-raising performances from Wilson for us, and we could engineer a dream loan move for the lad. Everyone wins.

If it is going to take forever for the squad to grasp VLG's philosophy ;) then i'd rather he pick players that will be here in 5 years time.

Progress will be tough but i feel doing it will new/young players will be far easier so promoting Wilson to the full squad is very positive news.

Well done LVG keep the changes coming.
