Well I had a look on twitter and some of the memes are transphobic in reponse to the story. The story itself could have been intended as transphobic but the presentation is still hilarious, it reminds me of the giant lasagne story.
I think we need some nuance in situations like these because I'm sure that not everything is offensive but some things do lead to offensive behaviour unfortunately.

I feel sorry for him. He’s one of the most gifted footballers I’ve seen play for us but his muscles are ruined. It’s a given that he will only be able to play 20-30 games a season now.
I think it's time he moved to MLS. Basically him, Bale and Isco semi-retired 1-2 seasons ago but there's still so much money that they have to continue somehow.

Looks like he’s off to Qatar. Shame about him but his injuries have rendered him useless in a Benitez team which is about consistent hard work. He’s the most talented player we have but on his wages and with the style of Benitez there is no way back for him. A shame we only got to see his quality for half of a season but I’m glad we were able to.
