He would be an asset to a lower level PL club but he is not PL level yet?????
WTF are you talking about?
You're not expressing as "an opinion". You are talking as if it's fact when really you're just talking out of your @r$e
Not sure if you can expect a midfielder from a lower league team against PL opposition, in a game where they had 30% possession or whatever...to “assert” himself. That would require being able to dictate which requires movement around you and options. He won’t have those in that type of game. What he did show was a solid frame, excellent positional sense nipping in to break up play and composure. All things we lack in DM. He didn’t at all look out of place against Arsenal. A solid PL side.Same issues, doesnt assert himself enough in games.
Still hopeful that will come with more experience playing first team football..
No. He is from Birkenhead.Jeez is he a scouser? Now thats a no no.
Still close geographically, so might be contaminated.No. He is from Birkenhead.
I can only assume you have just started watching him play this season if you think he does not get involved in build up play or make any contribution to a teams attacking play;As in not ready for us, or an upper level PL team. It's not hard to understand what I'm saying, he'd be good for a team where he only has to defend, but not for one where he needs to get involved in the build up play.
Basically he just needs to impose himself more, get involved in the build up and learn through trial and error. Not too dissimilar to Declan Rice who has started to really increase his contribution in the build up play.
And you're an idiot of the highest order. No opinion or anything relevant to the thread, just throwing insults for absolutely no reason. Sad little man.

I actually think Forest have a decent chance at the play offs. They play good football.
If they don't get promoted then another loan at Forest isn't bad of an idea. They're building a good team and Steve Cooper plays attacking football with 2 holding midfielders, which is a perfect setup for Garner.
Which is a BTEC Scouser if we're being honest.No. He is from Birkenhead.
Those who do it straight from the seat know the truth of the world in all its grim glory. Those who do it from a clean surface are ignorant to the bleak realities of life.I talked to a Forest fan at a pub. He said they are better now, but didn't believe they would reach the playoff. Then again, a few minutes later I saw him snorting cocaine from the toilet seat so I don't know if he is that reliable.

I'm assuming he's never really watched him play and is just trying to sound smart
He looks faster and more athletic here than previous times I've seen him. Seems to be developing the physical side of his game nicely.
Right, Championship is the perfect place to develop that part of game. He has done very well already. When can we give him an opportunity? I hope it not too long.He looks faster and more athletic here than previous times I've seen him. Seems to be developing the physical side of his game nicely.

Maybe that’s correct but Garner’s currently playing for Championship play off chasers while Galbraith is playing for bottom of League One Doncaster, Garner is playing at the level closest to United between the two.He is average, there is nothing exceptional about him except some low risk side way passing and weak tackling.
Ethan Galbraith is a more exciting prospect than him.
Let us not look at the clubs they play for and focus on their individual attributes.Maybe that’s correct but Garner’s currently playing for Championship play off chasers while Galbraith is playing for bottom of League One Doncaster, Garner is playing at the level closest to United between the two.
I agree. I wonder what happened to Galbraith being loaned to another team further up the table/leagues.He is average, there is nothing exceptional about him except some low risk side way passing and weak tackling.

Garner is just another Cleverly clone especially when it comes to keeping things safe and tidy with no technical contribution to influence games from the middle of the park.
Galbraith is potentially our next Scholes if nurtured deeply, watch his games and see the inbuilt ability to dictate games as a deep lying playmaker with those his long range passing.
Watch both of them and rate.
Galbraith's a good player but he's quickly found himself becoming very overrated on these boards. Garner is very versatile, having excelled at CB, DM and B2B for the U18s and U23s whilst also captaining England and United at various levels. I like Galbraith but I've never found myself thinking he was the best midfielder out of himself, Levitt or Garner.Let us not look at the clubs they play for and focus on their individual attributes.

Any chance for some his highlights from this game ?
I watched Cleverley come through the U23's and he never really stood out. You wouldn't have said he'll make it.
Garner on the other hand did look very impressive at that level. Always in top two or three players if not the best.
On top of that, quite different players.
He needs to impose himself on games. Every time I watch he's slightly passive, waiting for the ball to come to him rather than demanding for it. But when he has it you can tell he's technically very very good. He could be a very good player if he starts "playmaking" more.
