Jamaal Lascelles to Spurs it would seem

It'd be funny if it was more accurate.

Should have stuff like 'Go on winning run against poor teams. Hyped up as title challengers before facing a few half-decent sides and dropping to 5th'.

Nah, I know Spurs fans who are bullish every summer because Levy throws the money around, only to stop texting me by Xmas when their season has gone to shit (again).

They usually STFU after the first drubbing by Arsenal, Glaston is still young and in his salad days so he's still trumpeting away when the old lags have slunk away.

Guy at work incessantly goes on about us not being in Europe. And then insists only the English don't care about the Europa, everyone else in europe loves it etc.

He thinks they'll be 6th next season, above Everton!

Can somebody explain the reasoning Behind signing vorm, hes a cracking keeper but surely you cant have lloris and Vorm in the same team, they are both first choice quality. and seeing how lloris signed a new deal, would it be safe to assume he might have negotiated a buyout clause, so spurs could be preparing for his departure if they dont get champions league this year (very unlikely if we resurge)

Grew up with the lads cousin, he was a few years below in school. He was quite a late starter to football so he's done really well for himself.

It's becoming the in-thing at top clubs to have two very good keepers.

What's wrong with any of that?

I don't see why not. Spurs have a better squad than Everton, the same European commitments and actually have a decent manager for once.

The Europa is pretty sh!t, and generally affects your league season. You might have realised your boys were fresher than anyone else at the end of last season, helped for momentum didn't it. Until Stevie's slip and the meltdown obviously.

And taunting us because they finished in 6th place, one place above is just silly. But hopefully they'll get theirs this year

I made that look like I was disputing they'd come 6th. It's about where they should come.

What I mean was after all the taunting us, he has no faith in his lot doing any different to standard.

Ah right. I don't see them coming into contention for a Champions League place either tbh. As it stands currently; City, Arsenal and Chelsea are nailed on for top four; United and Liverpool will fight it out for 4th, with Spurs and Everton competing for 6th. An early prediction, but an accurate and well-balanced verdict I think.

Off to Newcastle along with Darlow, both being loaned back to Forest next season apparently. £7m for the pair of them, good deal for Newcastle, Fawaz will have a lot to answer for from Forest fans & Pearce though.

Apparently Pearce was unaware of the deal until it was completed, solid work by the Fawaz.

Good on FIFA 2014 but skeptical about his actual potential. Looks Like Glaston was wrong, it would seem.

Unless I'm missing something it doesn't make a lot of sense, does it? Forest were talking about making a proper promotion push this season and if they were to get promoted they'd surely get far more money for them this time next year either way, unless their contracts are running down, or Forest are hard up for money and need to sell now.

Forest's owner is worth an absolute fortune, thinking maybe he's going to cut his ties or try an be stringent.

I think they're on a thin line anyway regarding FFP but I don't think they were exactly forced to sell, it's just Fawaz being incompetent more than anything.

They any good then?

If they get a lot of playing time once they're at Newcastle (guessing they're back to Forest next year?) then they should keep developing well, think both will go on to have fairly good careers and you've got 'em at a good price. Lascelles is a better defender than Michael Dawson was at his age but to kick on more he definitely needs to be playing week in week out.

With them both needing regular playing time it's hard to see anything other than them going back but Darlow's a well-rounded keeper and would be a more than adequate back up to Krul if he was to stay & Lascelles would be a good option to have aswell, potential's definitely there in both of them, just need the time to develop.
