Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

I wonder whether Chong will offered to Dortmund on loan for a year or two as part of the deal?

So, your idea of an appetizer for the deal is the courtesy of developing your player without any chance of keeping him or making any profit off him. In a position where we have a big talent in Reyna who showed impressive perfomances already and literally the biggest offensive U17 talent of the country coming up (for whom we actually pushed for rule changfe so hew could join the 1st squad this season)... Yeah, how about no?

If we sell Sancho we will need to sign immeadiate fire power to replace him, not someone down the line.

Given the massive amount of noise around the transfer, I'd say if it was off they would come out and say they were never interested in the first place.

This happens in literally so many of our transfers, how can you panic like this. Happened with Bruno, happened with Maguire. We're signing Sancho.

I'm not saying it's off just that they're at deadlock waiting to see who blinks first

I'm available for post Sancho Saga counselling.

Seriously ill help any one of you desperate Muppets when this doenst happen

Bild just released another Sancho article but same old news, they reckon Dortmund have the upper hand in this transfer and no agreement yet. Looks like there will be no updates tonight.

Is Memphis Depay the fire power you speak of?

The truth of the matter is United have not made any bid. It doesn't mean United will not make a bid.

You understand it differently. “Official bid” is a set of legally binding documentation, including bank guarantees and such. It’s difficult and costly to prepare, so Man Utd usually sends it after everything is agreed.

Normal “bid” is just an offer communicated to a selling club during negotiations phase

How do I waste 5 minutes of my life and read the article mate? It has a pay wall.
Me neither. The headline says it all really. Media doing what they always been doing.
I don’t think its worth 5 minutes of your time mate.

I don’t know if i can’t take this so much longer. I’ve been on and off in full muppet mode for the past week or so.. Ed, just do it please!

It's quiet because the two sides have clearly hit an impasse hence all the briefings. I admire the optimism that it's quiet because it's being finalised but it's likely to be the exact opposite

I just think it's do with the fact that this is the 4th transfer this has happened with. It's crazy how identical this is to the AWB, Maguire and Bruno transfer sagas. 3 days when everyone went crazy I said wait for the inevitable kick back over next few days. This whole thing couldn't be more predictable.

It was worth a try ;).

It could have been worse, I could have suggested we send you Phil Jones and Lingard on Loan:D

What’s the feeling amongst the supporters? Do you think Sancho will stay?

He is appearantly one of the top targets as replacement and I think he could flourish with us similarily as he does at Lyon. I have seen him maybe seven or eight times since his departure from United and he impressed me in every match. So, yeah, he would fit the bill.

Clearly setting the narrative for when he is sold that they are the winners in the deal. He is definitely leaving

No, 90% that the deal is announced in the next days. The rest chance is honestly only because Woodward loves to drag out these things. Would drive me nuts as supporter.

For what it’s worth, I think it would be a good situation for everyone involved. We get Sancho, Dortmund get Depay with money left over. Sancho gets to come home, and Depay gets to go to a better club (in my opinion).

170 of your 693 messages are in this thread, basically a quarter of your posts are purely about Sancho
And he's been here since 2014. Sancho must really give him wet dreams for him to post 150+ times in this thread alone given how rarely he normally posts

Heh, thats a nice puff piece by Bilds standarts. So yeah, the logical conclusion to the whole thing draws nearer.

You must have noticed that most of us are nuts here.

Ok fair enough. I think United will get Sancho no doubt but not at prices and plans currently circulating in the media. Woodward has had his fingures burnt in the past 7 years. To his credit, he has improved under Ole , I think its because Ole cares more about Manchester United than the previous 2 managers. Am convinced Sancho will be a United player at the start of next season. The price United pay for him will be very interesting. He is coming, no doubt about that. Any manager who can tear up Sanchez contract gets respect from me.

This continues to be done. It has been for quite a while. Both clubs just posturing in the media.

To be fair, you probably get used to it. Our DoF is pretty much the antithesis to Woodward, all about swiftness and efficiency. Somehow it fits both clubs, though. United with its global popularity needs a bít of circus surrounding signings while we need to be faster than other clubs at times to secure good deals.

How does everyone seem to be so certain everything will be back to normal next year? There are still entire cities in complete lockdown. The impact of this thing could be felt for a very long time. It's a bit of a stretch for Dortmund to think everything will be all rosy again next year, with teams happy to splurge 200m on players again.

On Sancho though, they seem headstrong on their price of 120m, either we have intention to pay it, or we don't, I hopefully see this being sorted soon, especially as Dortmund seem happy to receive the payment in instalments and with the constant talk of the deadline. It would also be beneficial for us to get him in earlier, rather than later, so he can begin gelling with the squad.

If it isn't happening, we should tell em to get fecked earlier rather than later, as either way, we need to strengthen the squad. That 120m could be used in a few positions of need, mainly DM, CB, FB etc. even though Sancho would be my priority.

We have mocked Roma for them not paying what we wanted, we can't then turn around and cry about injustice when Dortmund stay headstrong on their valuation. That's what they value their asset at, there's either a buyer, or there isn't.

Nah, experience tells me these quiet days are the ones we’re everything is being worked out. Either way, we’ll find out, it wouldn’t just go quiet.
