Not the same but I like how PSG handled the Mbappe transfer. He was signed on loan and whilst we know what he cost, it was deferred and almost went under the radar (as best paying 180m could do) in a way that it won't have if he was signed in a more traditional way. I understand there were more factors to this and it helped having Neymar profile at the club but that's what loaning him back could achieve. Whilst we know he's coming, just arrives in a different way deferring the interest and hysteria.
I think it's easy for us all to forget, irrespective of the figures involved, can't fast track how you grow emotionally and maturely. Like I said, it hard enough signing for this club under normal circumstances but under this situation with the backstory of potentially Ole's first major signing, ex city, his age, being English, probably the no.7 shirt, the fee and his wages at 18....the pressure to succeed is going to be immense.
Loan idea might be a crap one but these kind of signings are unprecedented and require a different approach....
