Ok, this article says it all, inclusive quotes from Watzke and Zorc. And this counts, its a Röckenhaus article. Iam changing my opinion in this moment: it seems that Sancho is staying one more year in Dortmund. If until 10. August things changes dramaticaly, no transfer.

He said the same thing with Aubameyang and Dembele. Means nothing. Actually I remember Aubameyang really went after this guy for his bullshit on twitter.

I feel worse for the Dortmund fans in this moment. Zorc said the same stuff with regards to Dembele right before he moved. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Well, Barca met their demands. And the article doesn't imply Dortmund wouldn't sell if the price was met

According to Watzke, they still haven't received any kind of offer for him, not from Utd, not from and kind of handler. And he doubled down on the deadline. The coming days will be interesting.
It’s all pretty common stuff. Just a generic response/reiteration to our briefing yesterday.

Sorry, but this is no twitter itk bullshit which we see since weeks. Its an actual article, in a serious newspaper, one of the biggest in the country, from the guy who is most reliable and doesn'tgive a shit on twitter to make himself important, he waits until there is something to say with value, and then he writes his articles. But think what you want, i just wrote down my opinion and some informations on who he is and what kind of newspaper this is to share it with you.
You are free to laugh about that.

So yesterday united briefed that they will not meet the high valuation, Dortmund have briefed there's been no contact.

Top foreign journo's certain they are, from a 'neutral agent'.

And Simon stone is finally onto this

The circus goes on

Like I said in a recent reply on this thread, my personal opinion is that United have been intending to pay the full price this entire time (likely in installments) but are posturing to try and get better deals on other transfers they are trying to complete.

EDIT: Posturing in the media, doubt there is posturing in the actual negotiations to be honest.

Dortmund also issued public denials when it came to the Mkhitaryan, Dembele, Aubameyang and Pulisic sales recently.

All shortly before they ended up acquiescing once they received suitable offers so I wouldn't make too much out their quotes unless both foreign and UK journos all start reporting a total breakdown of talks at the same time

They generally keep things close to their chests as a club when it comes to negotiations and don't reveal anything at all regarding potential sales until it's actually official and agreed. Something about keeping things 'professional' in their own words

Called him a 'clown' if I remember correctly

Marco Lichtsteiner gravitates around BVB, also had a say in Dembele's transfer.

Not sure what his added value is... best for MUFC to stay club to club. These intermediaries are everything Sir Alex resented.

Its obviously a negotiation tactic, the down side is that we set the precedent that at the end we'll pay up.
Clubs dont buy the bluff, we should have walked away from other deals for it to work
. But Im hoping they dont want to make this the main example, Sancho is just to good to let him pass.
We can do it when we are ask to pay 80M for Grealish or any other absurd fee for a british player. But Sancho worths every penny.
Not true. We waited 6 months for Bruno and got him for significantly less than the initial asking price.
I think Woodward and club should employ brinksmanship, but it does require us to walk away, if required.
Dortmund are talking shit through, no way they will let Sancho value slip by £50m by delaying transfer for another year. No chance at all.

Actually, Freddie Röckenhaus is one of the most reliable, if not the most reliable, journalist when it comes to the BVB.
Maybe its like i have said before in here: Zorc will stand his ground and if they don't get their sum they have in mind, they just let him play one more season in Dortmund. Arguments for this were mentioned a lot in here.

He is also a dortmund supporter according to a quick google search. This is dortmunds simon stone.

The desperation
Mate i don't care if Sancho is staying or not. If he is staying, great! If not, Zorc will get what he wants and fans can be sure that he got some plan in mind for this case, this would be exciting cause i don't know any fan or expert who doesn't trust him to make the best out of it. And if you guys get him i feel nothing but joy for you. Iam totaly relaxed in this. Both cases are great. 120 Millions for get some new toys or a Sancho for a season, it could be worse.

I think Woodward and club should empty brinksmanship, but it does require us to walk away, if required.

Especially when they’ve been burned heavily by letting players leave for less than their value in the past (Lewa & Gotze come to mind)

Look at the German posters coming crawling back at the first sign of it not happening  how predictable.

Stop projecting, if one's afraid here, it's you. Try dialing back your muppet anxiety, and let others disuss about Sancho even if they say thing you don't like.

It's the equivalent of yesterday the British media saying that Utd are prepared to walk away. It's posturing. It's nothing. Everything is as it is currently. Nothing to see here, keep calm, the transfer will happen.

Can't they just say they currently in talks but nothing to update, or no agreement yet, or no other comment. You know something reasonable. Silly games if they ain't telling the truth, if they are then we clearly been wasting our time.

Agreed, the way transfers are handled in football is an absolute shambles. This is what happens when you have a weak regulatory body overseeing the sport.

Why are the German posters getting excited over this, whether it’s this year or next year, he’s going to leave. And in this COVID world, Dortmund should be praying it’s this year.

Unless another PL team goes in and gives them a better deal than we did.

Would we like that at this point in time?!

I think he will be ours and we will make a deal.

That said, Dortmund aren't that easy to negotiate. These are the same people who didn't want to drop a penny on Dembele price and once they got pissed with Bayern they let Lewandowski run his contract down refusing to sell.

No, @Judas is right. It's like this for every transfer we make. Getting flashbacks of all those Leicester fans disappearing after announcing Maguire.
