Seems an outdated POV that someone’s nationality makes them any less likely to have good contacts in a sport as global as football. He’s a fine source, just like Simon Stone, just like Christian Falk and all the others.

Why? Leaking is a product of networking. You're more likely to have a trusting relationship with someone you see at every press conference than with some guy halfway across the continent who does transfer tweets. Falk almost exclusively sticks to Bayern news and the odd big German story like Havertz, he gets premium information, because he works for Bild and Bild control the public narrative in Germany, so clubs and players are compelled to trade access and information for favourable reporting in their domestic market. That doesn't mean that the flow of information can't cross borders, but it's significantly less likely.

Come to think of it, when was the last time a player from Dortmund (or even Germany) came to PL and knocked it out of the park?
Aubamayang has been excellent in a poor Arsenal, even playing on the left a lot of the time.

The best player in the league, KDB came from Germany too.

That Pulisic feller looks like a decent signing for Chelsea and Sancho is the one who pushed him to the bench

Would've thought the ignorant opinions regarding players coming from abroad would've stopped after seeing Bruno's impact for us when so many were doubting his quality because he played in Portugal in his own transfer thread yet here we go again

Even though the player in question right now played his entire youth career in England to begin with

It’s bullshit. British journalists yet again have no clue.

Yup reeks of a club brief

It can never ever be straightforward without fuss with us can it?

Negotiation tactics. Just before we signed Bruno, the exact same thing happened until they brought they price down.

There's always a tweet that pisses on muppets' cornflakes before the "here we go" from Romano.

I don’t know why some of you take a stalemate re the fee as a sign it won’t get done nor do I know why some of you think this will be done quickly. This will be like all of our transfers are. Week if not months of haggling before the deal gets done.
