Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

James should not even factor into the decision to sign Sancho. If he is available to us we simply must sign him. James has a place in the squad but we lack quality across all lines and a player like Sancho would go a long way to remedying that.

Chelsea linked with Wilf Zaha. No chance they will get him and Sancho.

There is no point in going for Zaha. Too expensive and not enough years to be gotten out of such an expensive signing and not enough output to be worth it.

So take this with a massive pinch of salt but some mates of mine in Liverpool saying they’ve agreed a deal for £85m and add-ons. Deal to go through in the summer.

No ITK or anything like that but a few saying the same things.

Where’s my fecking noose.

I don't see this happening. If Sancho was smart enough to leave Man City and develop at Dortmund, I'm pretty sure he's smart enough not to pick United especially the one that's being managed by Ole.

No chance it's happening. If he's seen us play this season then he'll be steering well clear. Like I said a while ago, I think City or Liverpool awaits him.

Let’s just hope he only watched our game against Spurs, City & Chelsea, that should do the trick.

Far too cheap for starters. Also don't see why he'd go there when he wants to play every week, unless of course Mane is off to Madrid.

Feck this window shopping at Harrods when we should be shopping at Lidl.

I think the Pogba situation is helping turn away any potential high quality transfer targets.

Hopefully we can get our act together so we can sign Sancho just before he hits his prime

Liverpool would have to sell Firmino and play Salah centrally. Would be a really stupid move given how well settled their team is.

City probably have an opening on the right flank. Depends on whether Sane has a future there and Pep continues to play Bernardo on the right or moves him central.

Out of the two City are the ones who can get him if they really want. But both teams are really over stocked and don't have a requirement for Sancho which makes them being his desired location doubtful.

United and Chelsea who he has been linked with seem the best fits.

I don't think Sancho ends up at Liverpool, but Klopp could change them to more of a 4-2-3-1 and play either Firmino or Salah up top with the others playing as the 3. Mane, Firmino, and Sancho could all likely succeed in the central role.

Without top 4, there's absolutely zero chance.
With top 4 probably 30% chance.
What if we win both the league cup and the F.A cup? 25+25 = 50%? + top 4 that is 80% chance. Going by these statistics, it would be absolutely instrumental to get it done in the January window.

Don't think it works. Too many forwards IMO.

It just wouldn't surprise me if Salah is sold to make way and they make money on the whole thing too. Scousers I've spoke to seem to be happy to sell Salah, I just wonder if Klopp might see it the same way.

I do think City is more likely than Liverpool.

It's more or less what they did during the fall of 2017 before selling Coutinho. The defense was admittedly leaking goals, but it also didn't have Fabinho, VVD, or Alisson to steady the defense.

I think buying Sancho would be to much of a risk for team chemistry, but I do wish that Klopp would use Shaqiri more as a dedicated AM to help unlock squads that park the bus.

It's going to take some balls from Klopp to break up this team.
Fergie did it in 2009 when he tried to fit Berbatov in. Was never really the same after that when the 2008 team was broken up.

Straight back into the swing of things. Absolute must buy.

Woodward, if you want a player that will grow with Greenwood, Williams, Rashford, etc... as a strategy, buy him. He ticks all the boxes.

Can't help but feel that while a couple of months ago he was still a priority signing now with Greenwood's form I can see us passing on him to focus on the midfield/no 10 positions

But Greenwood isn't going to be a long term solution to our RW problem, we'd just be shorhorning a player into that position for the sake of it, that's never done us any good.

I'm not saying we'll get Sancho but he'd add a lot of quality to our RW and would give us depth to our attacking options too, look at how we fared when Martial was out injured and how reliant we were on James and Rashford to get the goals, we need more than that to alleviate the pressure off the others.

Can't help but feel we never had a chance of landing him and never will. But yeah the Greenwood thing will be a good excuse.

If it were an option, Liverpool's where I would go if I was him, so long as Klopp assured me he'd be around for at least 2 more years. Walk into a fully functioning champion team, pressure is less for him to start with so he can settle and grow.

I think the city project will need renewal under a new manager to get them popping again, and Chelsea and United are still at least 2 season away from a serious title challenge.

If shoe horning Greenwood into the RW saves money, we'll do it.

You think Kane will be out of the team in 3 years time?

Not completely, but I think a mixture of players who can swap positions and share similarities in their game will be a better combination. I'm less sure of Sterling not being a part of that, but can see his levels dropping in his late 20s due to the amount of football he'll have played.

He won't end up at Chelsea, they can't afford him given those poor financial results. Looks like they spent last summers budget in 2018 knowing the ban was coming. They still owe over £200m for players they've signed and given they have more pressing matters than a winger thats going to cost them in excess of £100m.

City will 100% be in for him, they'll sell Sane and push Bernardo Silva into the centre to replace David Silva.

I can see us going all out for him, if we can sell pogba for over 100 million. Chelsea is the only real competition for him and if we win the europa then we have as good a chance as them.

City haven't spent anything like that on a player yet, can't see Sancho been the first either given they sold him for £8m. City like Chelsea have more pressing matters, centre half is a priority and a left back too. They'll spend big on a centre forward before they buy Sancho.

Pep was extremely unimpressed in the manner in which Sancho and his people left. He doesn't want him back.
If he returned to City it won't be next season.

The absolute state of United fans making up nonsense about owing 200m

Sadly we can't spend around 100, 120 m on one player when we have to improve squad in all areas.

I'd rather we get Pablo Moreno as part of deal when we sell Pogba to Juventus. The guy is a sure shot superstar in the making, similar to Sancho, and he is 2 years younger.

If Sancho doesn't work out, I like the idea of raiding Valencia for Ferran Torres; he'll be the ideal understudy/replacement for Juan.
