I'd be surprised if we actually signed him. It doesn't feel like the Maguire signing at all. It just feels dead.

Have to wonder whether Sancho's interest may have waned in the last few weeks also.

Its ok saying cycles but its not as if theyre turning all of these world class players down. As soon as the world record fees and 500k a week wages dried up, the propaganda machine about dreams of Madrid etc stardom dried up as well.
Players these days are a lot more career conscious than players of yesteryear. Actual appeal of clubs as in choosing Madrid over Liverpool has narrowed greatly. Its a bit of an outdated view to have.

Sometimes opportunities doesn't comes with other options. Some players chooses X club because that's the best offer they have at the moment.

If player like Mbappe/Messi/Ronadlo at their prime they can choose any teams they want to play for, Liverpool, City, United are behind the pecking order.

It's just reality, we're probably a big guns compared to Everton, but there's always the bigger fish.

Nothing wrong with calling it as it is.

Mate its well known around football we are awful at transfers. I dont care if its eds job or not.

We had a huge summer and have got 1 signing over the line. If you want to toe the line that everything is fine thats great, I will support the XI on the pitch but beyond that its our job to put pressure on everyone to the owners to make us a Title winning side again.

Absolutely not. If united are making a bid next week, as is now being quite widely reported, then Sancho will be well aware of that and him and his agent would’ve been one of the first to know.

It's frustrating on a football perspective as the squad has huge gaps in it but from a business perspective it's just how things have to be. We're not bank rolled by oil or gas money so have to take care of investor relations and club finances before football decisions can be made.

Thanks for making the point. Yeah it’s been mentioned in this thread in past days and weeks.
Anyways we are in the final days of the window now so all will become apparent very soon. And after the window closes I’m sure there will be briefings and leaks explaining why the club took the approach it did.

The concept of us 'preparing a bid for next week' should be met with a high degree suspicion.

Mbappe went to PSG over Madrid?
I honestly think its an outdated view.
 
I'm hoping if we can shift a few bodies in the next week it will free up funds for Sancho and Telles. Optimistic perhaps but then that's all I have....

Whos there now then? Where are all these stars moving over there or getting the Madrid treatment from years ago where they spent a year campaiging for a player to move?
Where are the best players in their positions? Even 2nd, 3rd or 4th best? Did they take a couple of years off, let them stay at rival clubs for fun?
Its not 2007 anymore, they arent clicking their fingers and having superstars come running.
Plus Mbappe hasnt even moved there. Messi wants to leave, Neymar left. If anything theres a talent drain going on at the minute.
 
I‘d say that the fact there hasn‘t been any sustained links to alternate right wingers can be a good thing. I’d say by now we’d be seeing frantic links to the alternatives like Brooks, Dembele etc, and crucially it’s not reputable journalists doing it like Stone, Hirst and MotherDucker.

Dont get me wrong they massive, but they not elite ie successful trophies etc at the moment,

We have plenty of time to sign Brooks or Sarr after 5th October.
 
Surely dead in the water now. No fans for the whole season. Surely they won’t spend £100m on one player with that loss of revenue.

Have you not seen how much money is still being spunked on players even during the current climate?.He'll be a United player in the next 8 days. :drool:

Great that we will all have a conclusion in about a week’s time. Quite bored of this now but i hope it will end up in Sancho being our player and that’ll be worth it at the end
 
"Don`t do it for the show" meaning its a proper bid not that non sensical 75m+15m story people took for the gospel. Worth noting Utd only usually bid big knowing it`ll be accepted so #SanchON this week?
 
What is the point of geeing up the fans?

Unless you come through, you're just making a massive rod for your own back.
