Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

I think it was posted somewhere that the percentage lost against turnover will be fairly similar to ours. We will lose more money of course but we make a lot more for example.

They aren't in £400m worth of debt though and don't have blood sucking parasites at the helm don't forget.
Do Dortmund not pay out dividends?

Slow day. About to blow up this thread.

You are a beacon of light in a mire of shite

But if we have to be honest, its unlikely we will get him. Especially now that football could be at risk of being shut down again.

I'd rather spend the 25m on Telles and then go sign Skriniar for 54m.

That would sort out our back line.

Sancho can be bought next summer (or in Jan). Probably for a cheaper price if/when football shuts down again.

Sometimes, but not always. The shareholders don't have voting rights, and all major shareholders are strategic partners like Puma.
Only times clubs dont pay dividends is when they havent earned it? I think?

I think another loss in the League this weekend against Brighton will force the Glazers to pay up for Sancho or risk a tsunami of supporters' wrath.
Critical match - the Glazers would be more nervous than us.

I don’t think they Glazers give a toss about “supporters wrath” they never have before.
Why would they start now?

Dortmund would be foolish to go into the season with no time to spend that 100 million well. So I don't see how this happening

Depends on their objective for the money. If it's pocketing it, they would've played a blinder and controlled the narrative post-sale.

No. they don't care. They probably are not even aware of the results, I wouldn't be surprised.

There're not even fans attending matches to show such "wrath" and eve if there were, I doubt they would have done much.

If Dortmund accept our bid, it’s because they think they may need the money to help finance operating costs this season.
so I doubt they’d go out and spunk a load of it on a new signing.

Err...the Glazers don't give a toss about our 'wrath'.

They're running out of cash as well, and they no longer have suitable means to get free cash flow into the club. The fact that they also want to remain debt-free will make this deal more tempting for Dortmund as time passes. However, we'll see if they want to sacrifice their footballing prospects to obtain the cash.

Every time i see the thread title, i get a tiny bit optimistic.

When the top Glazer thinks Martial is our Pele you really have to seriously question their football knowledge. I love Anthony when he is on form but to think he could be the talisman for this team never mind the club is just delusional.

He really fecked us over by securing his future? Players aren’t going to run down their contracts at such a young age. It takes one leg break and he would only have 2 years of salary before his career could potentially be over.

If anything, he could argue we could have signed him last summer and he wouldn’t need to extend. Dortmund gave him a wage rise in return for extending one more year to protect his value.

It is reported that Dortmund promised him if an offer of 120m euro was met then they would accept it. That hasn’t happened yet so not really Sanchos fault.

Yes he did feck us over. I don’t see how anything you have written contradicts that.

By all accounts he wanted to join us last season but Dortmund refused to sell at any cost. He’s probably fecked himself over too as he’s going to miss out on a move he supposedly wants to make.

If I were Dortmund I'd add half-a-mil for every day past Aug 10 to justify selling after their deadline. It's the least of what I'd want us to do if the shoes were reversed.

 Do you think we will do anything?
We're all sat at home complaining about it on a forum they wont even have heard of.

Even when fans were in the stadium, if we booed, our own fans were calling us a joke.

It needs a lot of things
Protests outside the stadiums
These youtube people calling for protests
Ex players calling out the club

It needs a lot, but we wont do feck all

There won't be losses either way. Players are capitalised as assets so will not cause losses on the P&L. There will be a change to the balance sheet and wages will affect the P&L but the purchase won't cause the bottom line to suffer.

I don’t really know much about accounting but this was pretty much my understanding.

I mean the whole thing sounds bollocks - don’t buy him today buy him tomorrow because it will look better. Shite!

The media are clutching at any news re: Dortmund’s alleged interest in Sancho to keep the deal alive when it’s long been dead. This all reminds me and is very similar to when Tupac died in 1996 and everyone’s state of denial at that time. People interpreted “secret” (but meaningless) messages in his songs, the change of his name and other useless information to convince themselves that he faked his death and would make this miraculous return to scare all of his enemies but no sadly he’s dead and stayed dead.

Sancho in a United shirt this season is just as likely as Tupac and Biggie hanging out on a secret island together, having drinks while wearing Sancho no.7 United kits.

It takes an unbelievable amount of skill to carefully traverse a political tightrope and successfully campaign for underprivileged kids to get fed under this callous government.

Rashford is a skilful player mate. Maguire said he’s the most skilful player he has seen at United
Didn't say he wasn't, he even surprises me often with some of the stuff he has in his locker but I'm not sure that he's even the most skilled at the club

Big fan of the Sancho - Rash bromance though, hope it can pay dividends for us sometime eventually in the future.
