Nice move by Spurs, London was probably the main factor judging by comments from people in the know, hopefully he was smart enough not to sign a 6 year contract without some sort of clause.

Let's just hope he doesn't fall back into the wrong crowd being in London again. Good luck to him at Spurs, should be able to get some decent minutes on the wings.

Can't remember anything about him being in the wrong crowd when he was at Watford originally to be fair.

Pretty great for Spurs to get such a highly regarded talent. They're a good good team for young player to join as well. Isn't he supposed to be quick and a good dribbler? If so, they need a few players of that kind.

Hope he has learnt of the ways of Levy and has a release clause in his contract.

Joining Spurs very soon.

Where's the source? Everyone is very sure at this moment.

It's a great move for him. Not a single better manager than Pochettino for youngsters in PL.

He's decided to become Levy's prisoner then.

Is he likely to get any first team action this season? or straight into youth/reserves?

He is stupid for going to Spurs, one thing is sure, this guy will want to play for the European Elite clubs, good luck with that (Levy). Dortmund would be better.

Not at all. He's joining a club that is one of the best for developing young players. He can see others at Spurs who have come through into our first team squad from our youth ranks - Kane, Rose, Winks, Walker-Peters, Carter-Vickers - or became part of our first XI at young age (Dier, Alli) ... and he wants to join them.

He'll be given both playing time at Spurs and benefit from being coached by Pochettino. It's perfect for him.

So many posters express amazement that talented players sign for Spurs, or call such players "stupid". I'd suggest that such posters open their eyes a little and try to see the many things that they are missing.

Wouldnt necessarily agree with one of the best at developing your players, the pressure waa quite low so they could afford more time but that will start to fade now. For the players you mentioned, other promising players like Janssen, Yedlin, Lamela, Nkoudou, Holtby, Onomah, Wimmer, Bentaleb there progress stalled or even declined. Harry Winks is very very talented, but still apart from cameo's, he doesnt really look like a short term starter.

I dont think he wouldnt develop at Spurs by the way, but other clubs could give him a starting place or more chance of it I feel. Son who scored 20 goals cant even get a regular place out wide, whilst Marcus Edwards and Lamela are still there. Eriksen/Alli playing wide on paper too at times.

Especially when you sign a long term contract, Levy will block a transfer certainly. The current stars will face the same problem when they want to leave because of the little chance of trophies (Rose is at this stage already).

Credit where it's due for the nice young British core Spurs have and are developing though.

He openly said in his interview with City's club channel he moved to get away from Kennington and that crowd (which was where he was originally from). Maybe he was trying to sell a sob story.

Is that the Danny Rose that had to go on loan to Sunderland at 22 to get a chance at Spurs? And the Carter-Vickers and Walker-Peters that between them have played as much as Axel Taunzebe?

Walker-Peters and Carter-Vickens have hardly played for you though.

If anything it was Carter-Vickers' real opportunity but they opted for £36m Davinson Sanchez as the cover/rotational CB instead.

Mere nit-picking. The fact is that Spurs have a deserved, strong reputation for bringing through youth players. Why else do you think Sancho is leaving City to join us?

He's wrongly thinking you could provide him with a good platform to move on to a big club. Should have gone to Dortmund.

Why is that a problem? The English teams are awful at developing players. Young players from Enurope often move to England. Nothing wrong with the other way around. Need to stop thinking England is the be all and end all of football destinations

I was talking from the point of view of English teams, not the player himself. I just thought it was daft that no English team was willing to give supposedly our most talented youngster a chance. Obviously that doesn't look like being the case.

Mere facts. The reality is the only player you've brought through your own ranks to become a regular first teamer is Harry Kane. This boy Sancho is from London isn't he?

Pochettino is probably the best manager for young players right now at a top 6 club so a good choice all round.

Sancho has done the right thing for his career; with the fraud at City also looking to add Sanchez to Sterling, Sane, Jesus and Bernardo Silva, he wasn't going to get a look in there.

Spurs are the right club for him at this point.
