Apart from Sancho I think Grealish is one of the best prospects United can buy and I also think he would walk straight into our starting line up with Pogba doubtful.

We are still very capable of getting both if we can sell Smalling, Lingard, Dalot & ideally Pereira in the next few weeks

He is a decent keeper but nothing more than that and he hasn't played as First choice since moving to United and even before that he wasn't regular keeper at his earlier club I believe I don't think any club would be willing to take gamble on him for decent fee.
There is no chance he’s playing in Pogba’s current position. He is not a central midfielder, and I don’t see why people seem determined to believe that he can play there. Even Southgate can see it FFS.
We are playing a very obvious 4231 with deep midfielders. maybe...maybe...if it was a 433 we could get away with it. Even then, I don’t think we have a capable DM to do that.

If Chelsea get havertz for just a little bit more than we pay for Grealish but we don’t go all out for sancho then we are confirming our stupidity and tunnel vision. yet again. Signing a pretty good player at a huge cost but failing to get the best and second best player out there this summer just confirms we are ok with top 4 and that’s it. Grealish and Sancho? Now you’re talking...

70M i would try my luck with Houssem Aouar. He probably will be available around 50M.

He will also be cover for Pogba and allow us to change formation when needed to unlock a team. Furthermore, his ability to carry the ball as well being press resistant is why we need him.
I believe he’s capable of more then that!
I started to get seriously interested in Grealish in the second half of last season. His stats has been excellent for a long time but when Aston Villa started to fight against relegation I started to follow him and the team more closely.
The game against Arsenal was the tipping point for me. Not only was he by far the best player on the pitch he was almost unplayable. You could see the fear in Arteta’s face whenever he had the ball. Fascinating images.
In that game he showed his whole repertoire. Mentally strong. Work ethic. Creativity. Excellent 1against1. His calmness in ball possession was outstanding. Ability to absorb press from several players and get a free kick whenever necessary. His passings in tight situations was superb and Arsenal‘s whole defense was almost paralyzed of fear until the game was over.
I saw a player with a natural ability to slot in the number 8 position, also as a 10 and 11, and if necessary probably as a number 7. If you play with AV every player must participate in defense in one way or another if they want to survive against better teams. Grealish is no exception and as a captain he most of the times leads by example. That’s a quality United need more of.
United plays 55-60 games so there is plenty of games and we desperately needs more quality up front, otherwise our thin squad will get exposed. If not Sancho then Grealish is a great option.
He's a brilliant footballer and bit of a Maverick. Would add quality to the squad and help push the team in the right direction. My concerns with the lack of movement on this could be Ole's comments regarding character and attitude. Grealish has been in the media for non football reasons multiple times and quite recently too and could be a factor.
I do believe he will be an amazing number 8. A player that can take the game to the opposition something we're still lacking
I’m not doubting he would be a great asset to us, just not in Pogba’s position. We really will just be leaving Matic there to be over run constantly. You can get away with it if you’re Man City and you have 70% possession, for the most part at least.
We aren’t using a traditional box to box number 8 in our system, Pogba is the closest to it, but he is having to show so much discipline sitting deeper, and I don’t see Grealish being able to do that.
Don’t want I really hope we don’t sign him.

When I watch Jack he cuts in every time his best position is off the left and I feel that we are in dire need of a right sided attacker instead. We need players that can get to the byline and cross a ball in which Sancho does regularly. I’d honestly just throw the kitchen sink at Dortmund and give them what they want because if we don’t I seriously doubt we will be anywhere near the top next season with the strengthening the other clubs are doing.

I agree with the cutting in part. However I don't think the club will be looking at Grealish as a Sancho alternative. Grealish can play left mid, number 10 and as a more advanced 8. His signing would not hinder us getting Sancho.

Cutting in from the left isn’t a problem. Rashford needs dropping for a while anyway. We just need sancho way more and he can play left right or centre. Grealish has been great and he would be a good squad addition but I worry he’s peaked, way too expensive, the main man at Villa, his past off the field stuff and imagine having to look at those tiny tiny shin pads for the next 5 years! To be honest the Ireland thing is probably the main reason I never really took to him but fair dues he’s been really good for years now in a poor team. I always just thought spurs or Everton was his standard long term

You can't sniff at Sancho for £108m and then go and pay £80m for Grealish. Would be the absolute definition of idiocy. £28m difference for a vastly, vastly superior talent, not to mention triple the marketability, in a position we have been desperately needing to fill for a decade.
Villa are purposely pricing him out. He has to cause a fuss, and then we can hopefully go from there.
His transfer fees would hinder us getting Sancho.
No one is going to pay £80m for him,have said all along I still think £50-55m plus a player going the other way is possible.
What do people who actually want to sign him think about the Pilger article which questions where would he play.
Looks to me like they want to secure Sancho first as the #1 Target then tackle the other deals after. All depends if Grealish is even on our list.
We ain't getting both Sancho & Grealish this year. No chance, it has to be either or none.
I do think that Jack is still on our list,however convinced anyone outside of Jadon is totally dependent on making player sales
Certainly not going to contemplate the latter as that would just be bloody awful especially if the neighbours bought you know who as well.
