I see, based on the last few lists:

Ultrabeat > Phil Collins > Backstreet Boys

Saying that pretty green eyes does have a 'disco at butlins' feel to it.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Pretty Green Eyes when it came out but now I look back and cringe a little.

I have that soundtrack, Hans Zimmer out did himself with that one.

I have that soundtrack, Hans Zimmer out did himself with that one.

Actually bought the CD of that so I could enjoy it on my proper speakers and not just headphones. That soundtrack, and that track in particular, are bloody wonderful. Makes me want to pick up a sword and go slice up an enemy.

I don't actually have any enemies per se, but there's gotta be someone that would look better in two pieces.

It is astonishingly good, Now we are Free is such a great track as well.

Would have been more upset it didn't win Best Score that year except that, while I think Gladiator is better, the winner that year was Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which was also an extremely well-done score, and it's really rare that the Academy recognize a deserving winner from outside Hollywood over one from inside.

I've never seen (or heard) it.

I've never seen (or heard) it.

The movie itself is worth a look, especially as the only Wuxia film to so thoroughly break through the cultural barriers that it managed to be the highest-grossing foreign-language film in American history AND garner a Best Picture Nomination, but the soundtrack is also bloody brilliant.
