The list from Sony US puts Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on track for a Q1 release in the States, while the silky-smooth WipEout HD is pencilled in for a more vague "early 08" release.

Sony UK, however, has told CVG this morning that GT5 Prologue will also hit UK PS3s in Q1, while placing WipEout HD at a slightly more specific Q2 release.

PSP owners should also be looking forward to March, when God of War: Chains of Olympus crashes on the handheld.

What is it then? Paintings?

A very good (and good-looking) simulator is what I think of it as.

Not much fun, which is what I look for in a game. Every GT game I've played has been the most excruciating experience I've ever had the displeasure of having.

Credit to the developers though. They must have spent a feckload of time on the models. They look excellent, even for GT (and PS3) standards.

Wipeout Pulse on the PSP should be good. Wipeout games are always something to look forward to.

I think this is entering into what they call uncanny valley, the thing at times is almost photo-realistic it's potty. It looks real, but there are things still about it that tell you that it's not.

This is a seriously big hitter, there is nothing anywhere near to be able to touch it, at least in the graphics department, sometimes I find myself saying "WTF!"

It's not an arcade racer in the same sense as Sega Rally etc, but it's not on the level of RBR, GTR2, LFS, netKar Pro etc. It is somewhere inbetween.
I can go into some detail as to why, but for a start the lack of damage is an automatic disqualifier from the sim genre.
