Italian Serie A - 2019-20

I thought they encapsulated the North/South divide. But then again I was getting that from watching the recent Maradona documentary.

Maybe then, but not so much now. The other side of Milan and Juventus occupy most of their thoughts.

Mostly it was the fact they were their biggest rivals for the league

I mean, there's no love lost but for the most part these days they don't care

This

Gattuso starting today at home vs Parma, expecting an adrenaline shock and a good game to set the tone.

Or not. Part of San Paolo's roof collapsed due to snow, game might be delayed

Insigne has been so poor this season

edit:

1-1 Milik

Real chance that Napoli might miss out on top 4 this season. They need to refresh the squad next summer if they're to try and catch up with Juve and Inter.

They'll probably be 10 points off even 6th by winter break.

It's just a dead season for them, end of squad cycle. Surprised they got Gattuso in as dosen't feel an appointment for next 2-3 years.

DeLau monetising in January and selling the club in June... you heard it here first! :wenger:

I mean, sacking Ancelotti to replace him with Gennaro fecking Gattuso. What a time to be alive.

Why did Napoli go for Gattuso?? He didn't do much at Milan.

Stefano Pioli is that type of Big Sam manager in Italy. He's taken over Bologna, Inter and now AC Milan all in mid season. Actually curious what the view of him in Italy is. Got Lazio to 3rd in 14/15 but been mediocre at other clubs in recent times.

If he'd still been available he'd have probably got the job.

Nearly got them into CL last season

He's a very good manager but not big club material

Finally Juve Finally! Do this more por favor

0-1 Borja Valero

0-2 Lautaro - Var takes it away due to offside

Borja scores of course. Dalbert, Vecino and Biraghi still on

The law of the ex is inescapable

Inter is giving the points away here. It looks like it will be Juventus that wins again even if they hardly has impressed so far.
Lukaku having a terrible week really after a bright start for them.

Inter have been losing steam in the past few weeks. They really need Sensi and Barella back

Was again really bad. Got caught in an offside position right before the Lautaro goal for 2-0

Later had a similar 1v1 vs the keeper just like against Barca - what does he do? Blasts it straight at the keeper

In horrible form at the moment and with Lautaro suspended for the Genoa match Inter will have it tough

Monday night with Cagliari-Lazio, the former going for a CL spot and the latter for the Scudetto. 0-0 draw then? :p

I wrote about it earlier in another thread...

Aurelio de Laurentiis has a Spurs-esque situation in his hands because some of his bigger stars are either at the end of their contracts (Dries Mertens, Callejon) or are unhappy with what they get (Allan ~3.7m, Ruis 2.8m, ZIelinski 2m, Meret 1.8m)

Napoli won't win anything and likely won't make CL as it is - Koulibaly is the highest paid player at 11m Euros, so the easiest thing to do is cash out on some of the prized assets

Radja dosen't get out of bed for nonsense scorelines like that, 3-2 Cagliari.

Really looking forward to this one.

Wow what a strike from young Simeone. Everything going in for Cagliari this season.

Poor komandant Conte, trading Icardi & Radja & Perisic quality for a more cohesive but less skilled dressing room.
