Higuain was incredible this game. 2 goals & an assist. MOTM performance. He looks like a rejuvenated player this season compared to last. His link-up play and passing has been excellent - which was always an underrated aspect of his game.

In fairness I do think they're in a bit of transition now (similar to Spurs over here). Their great 11 of last few seasons has run its course and probably needs to be broken up for its own sake. Someone like Dries Mertens isn't much of a game changer anymore after his mad scoring run two years ago.
New names like Di Lorenzo and Elmas need time to develop (horrible dive by Elmas in the second half btw).
