Is this the worst run of awful football since Fergie retired?

I don't think it has ever been worse, not even in the last days of Mourinho, Ole or Rangnick.

It doesn't seem like this team can perform even at 50% of their abilities.

Performances have been diabolical totally on the manager as last season even the drop off after the cup final there was a structure in play the team just struggled in possession.

I think we’ve definitely played worse. There’s just a shitload of individual mistakes.

Guess we gotta wait and see how this match ends. However, its looking a bit 2021-22 at the moment. A touch of the Van Gaal about it too. Passing the ball around without ever, really, looking dangerous.

Swear we had similar under LvG, but who knows.

It's irrelevant though, we are fecking shocking and it's unacceptable.

We'll have a banner like this soon

LVG circa 15-16. Will never get over how boring that football was.

We have been just as bad for long periods under Mourinho, LVG, Moyes and OGS. The entire recruitment strategy is broken. That needs the biggest fix.

It's right up there with the spells under LVG and Rangnick.

We’ve said the exact same thing about every manager at some point, usually after a crumb of success

Definitely. There's a "Is this the worse we've been??!!" thread 2 or 3 times a season every season.

We didn't win in 6 games under LVG in the horrific mid-season of 2015-2016. This is close though.

Ole's first full year in charge was absolutely horrendous, it wasn't until Bruno signing we got going, and there was a time period in October where he could've been legitimately sacked.

His first full year as manager Man Utd finished third and reached the semi-finals of every competition. Was it really horrendous?

Have everyone forgotten the last 7-8 games under Ragnick? I expected United to lose going into every game; that has never happened before and not since.

His start was absolutely atrocious, you can go and check. We signed Bruno in January and had a fantastic 2nd half to get us there. But early doors, run of football and results is up there with the worst post-SAF.

Even during the worst runs under previous managers, we had some games the players seemed to play with some intensity.

I have never seen these lacklustre and low-energy displays for this long and in basically every game.

It's crap, hard to pick a worst time, they're all pretty bad. But simply miles off the pace and standard required. Honestly could have lost 10 games this season already if not for some luck and it's not even November yet.

Probably still edged out by the Van Gaal December 2015 run.

No. It was far worse than this towards the end with ole, Jose, LVG and Moyes. This is bad, though.

Yes. And looks set to continue for a long time to come. Our players aren't good enough to change it much. Last season we had Casemiro to make a difference but now it's looking hopeless. Can't afford to change it much either.

Van Gaal played like this in every game. Opponents were way worse too.

People have short memories. Moyes and his 17,000 crosses. LVG and the most sterile, sideways football you'll ever see. The death throes of Mourinho. Rangnick after the players had realised he wasn't sticking around and they didn't even have to pretend to care. All of it was worse.

Not to say this isn't shit, of course.

People are quick to forget the terrible football we played with mourinho in his final year, the 30 crosses to no one a game with lvg, how woeful we were under ragnick, periods with ole.. So no this definitely isn't the worst we've played. Some of the football was horrendous to watch.

Edit - The guy above me said it better

Moyes was worst when he took a champion winning team to a 7th place finish and out of the CL for the first time whilst gutting the backroom staff.

Worst run to watch was under LVG. Finished 3rd behind Wolfsburg and PSV paired with a run of losses against Norwich, Bournemouth and Stoke in the league and draws Against West Ham, Leicester and Chelsea. That November-January was brutal

1. LVG mid 14-15
2. Rangnick
3. This

At least Ralf had an excuse. No player cared, half the team wanted out before he came. It was basically a sub teacher situation

This is not that, for that I would rate this worse

We're struggling to beat even the worst possible teams. Every game is 50:50.
