As the 2nd best player in the world?

Early days this season, but neymar is still improving and at a great age, where you can sense a decline starting to creep in with ronaldo, it could be just a temporary poor form, or the rafa effect, but once you hit 30, time isn't on your side anymore.

There was a piece about it on the telegraph yesterday here.

And before some accuse this of being a knee jerk thread, i'm not stating the above as a fact, i'm merely thinking out loud, so go easy on me ronaldo fans.

Surely he'd become the best player in the world if he overtook Ronaldo?

Hopefully he becomes the best player in the world, as Woodward looks on with a has a half grin hoping the tax situation dies on its arse of Neymar. Cheeky bid Woody has the future mapped out for Neymar Jr.

Both Neymar and Suarez have been better than Ronaldo this calendar year. I really think Ronaldo is on the decline now.

He is better right now and this season, so probably yes. Ronaldo's overall play isn't that great anymore and right now he doesn't even score an huge amount.

Neymar isn't about to overtake Ronaldo, he already has. He scores goals and unlike Ronaldo is great on the ball. He will be the next best player in the world and that will just depend on how fast Messi declines. Next Balor Dor winner.

Can someone please make the N & R capital...its doing my head in :(

Edit: And add a question mark in!

Wouldn't take Ronaldo back unless it's a bargain price.

Great... Now Barcelona not only have the best but also the 2nd best player in the world:nervous:

Neymar has already overtaken Ronaldo. He is about to overtake Messi. I'm glad that he put to bed the myth that Barca are mainly about Messi.

Neymar is 100% the 2nd best player in the world right now. I also think Suarez is at #3 and there's an argument that Lewandowski could be #4.

The question is who will be Neymar's Ronaldo..or competitor for the future? Martial has started of brightly for us, but he needs to improve his cutting edge/technical finishing among other things to be considered in that top bracket. Hazard has gone quiet this season. Aguero, Suarez, Sanchez, Pogba, etc..or perhaps Neymar will just dominate this award for years to come.

No he isn't. Half fit Messi had as much affect on the game as he did.

Well, Messi is 28 so I expect Messi to perform at top level for at least 3 years and then Neymar will be 26. I don't know how good Neymar was at 19 but Martial has been immense so far. The obvious names to say would be Hazard, Bale and Alexis but the first 2 are doing nothing this season.
