Shame they're shutting iTunes down
I do, listening to it as we speak. fecking quality bit of kit. Had it a year now, no problems.
A music player that plays music........revolutionary.

I've got an iphone which is basically the same thing but with a phone and it is a quality piece of kit.

i have a touch and loving it. I just love bashing apple fanboys for being so naive. put an apple logo on it and it has magical powers.
I don't think that relates to anyone in this thread to be honest. The iPod touch is a great bit of kit, I couldn't care less if its made by apple or not.
I have an iMac and an 80GB ipod video and that's it for me. I wouldn't keep upgrading my ipod I think it's fine how it is. Apple do release a lot of new versions which don't have many changes, but I still think they're very innovative.

I bought the extended warranty, and I read that if you Jailbreak your iPod and you've hacked it, your warranty is void. What does it do exactly?

Yeah you can store them, as long as they're Mp4 format.
Can't be much fun to watch on a 3" screen, though. Any decent portable DVD players around, by the way?
I have had mine since release date (almost a year), but mine has recently packed up - the touch screen doesn't work anymore & I plan to take it back to the apple store where I purchased it.
I used it every day, but since the app's update & have had nothing but trouble with it.
To watch films you can buy or rent off the store, of convert your film to the compatable file & store them on you touch & the quality is brilliant.

I actually don't even notice it, to be honest. I usually watch them in bed, so it doesnt really make a difference.
I've heard you should be fine with your warranty as you can always downgrade it back to the official iphone/touch software so they wouldn't know the difference.
Basically when you jailbreak it you get a thing called cydia which allows you to download 3rd party software and themes etc. They've just brought out a ps1 emulator for it but i'm yet to try it, the Game Boy Advance one works well though.
You can also download most of the app store apps for free which is a nice little feature, I currently have about 50 on my phone.
i still think ipods are the best mp3 players about but nothing has convinced me to upgrade from my 30 gig 4gen (or whatever it was). Used the video player for about a week then gave up as it was just a drain on the battery.
I've used a new iphone touch and the video/battery life is still poor. Great little gadget but totally superfluous.

Apparently the itouch is a product of a cost saving mechanism... that took place! You do know that the itouch is the same thing as the iphone (without the phone feature)
Apparently the early iphones which had problems were returned as they found a major defect in them... So to save the money they had already spent.. Apple decided to make them into the itouch!
This is based on a rumour you can either believe it or completely ignore it in either case do not expect me to give you any links or info as I really so not have any! & well many of you might think now oh this guy is just trying to wind us up! But I am not! you can read all my posts till date as proof... I am not a WUM at all!

The touch was on the market before the I-phone, plus isn't it illegal to recondition a product & sell it as new? Dont think this rumour carries any weight to be honest mate.
I have an 80gig ipod video now. No need to upgrade. Maybe when this one craps out.
