Anyone fancy doing a current T20 world XI?

I like that team apart from Babar and Williamson.

I'd take Babar out for QDK and Williamson out for Stokes or Stoinis. I think you need to be able to hide one bowler and I'm not sure if you can have Hardik as your sole 5th anyway

Too many anchors in that side with Babar, Kohli and Williamson for me and not convinced you can get away with a specialist bat at 6. I'd probably be tempted to pick Pollard or Russell there depending on form.

Yeah was thinking Pollard but he's not that consistent is he. Plus his bowling is pretty ordinary these days. Russell a good shout though.

Just feel like Morgan's captaincy would make any team better. Yes you could say he didn't make the play-offs this year but KKR's bowling attack was very ordinary.

Not sure if all 3of Stokes/Russell/Pandya are needed? Maybe another specialist batsman - Morgan/Buttler/Pooran?

Personally I think Stokes is over-rated as a T20 player. His bowling is very hittable in this format, hence he hardly ever bowls, and his batting isn't as explosive as some others.

I'd go with Buttler or Morgan ahead of him.

What do you make of Pooran btw? I wasn't too impressed with him before this IPL, but he seems to have done well, especially with some good flourishes, late on.

KL Rahul also had an amazing tournament.

Yeah both good. I might have Rahul in my world XI actually.

Agree. The fact that pretty much all of us have picked them speaks volumes.

Hard to think of too many spinners who stand out apart from Rashid Khan though. Seems like there were loads until very recently.
