Internationals November (Euro Qualifiers)

Mbappe staying on to statpad? This stuffs getting absurd now. Too many games but we'll overplay the minnows!

Poor Gibraltar, that must be tough to take. Like playing against U15 kids...

They need more policemen to restore order.

 . Quality.

Bloody hell we were dire today. Off to the Euro's we go tk be eliminated in the quarter final.

So are people still against pre qualifiers for the minnows?

More like a team of world class pros playing against an over 35s vets team. Ages of the Gibraltar starting XI:

Coleing (27)
Sergeant (28), R. Chipolina (40), Mouelhi (37), Santos (24), J. Chipolina (35)
Walker (35), De Haro (21), Pozo (18)
L. Casciaro (42), De Barr (23)

You can't make 5/10 of your outfielders over 35 (two of which over 40) and expect a decent result. De Haro, Pozo and De Barr are the only ones who should be starting games by the next international break, the rest should be dropped, benched or retired. And the manager should be gone too. Fans lost faith in him when he started 7 defenders against San Marino, and now he's lost the players too.

If only the English could stop stealing our players for 5 mins we'd actually have a decent sqaud. But we are stuck with shit barring Ferguson.

Aye them well known places in ireland. Birmingham and kingston upon thames.

Filthy english bastards.

Did we watch the same game? We were no where near full strength.

Tomori, guehi, trippier, gallagher, henderson, TAA

None of these are first choice picks for england. Thats more than half the team.

Of the squad that was available, probably only Walker, Saka and Rice are guaranteed starters.

What was the point in playing a 33 year old Trippier at right back? Rico Lewis was available. Likewise Maguire/Konsa. Playing Henderson at all makes no sense. And Rashford? He has been absolutely terrible. Palmer could have easily done a better job.

You were playing Malta, not France. You were winning the match no matter what. Southgate should be blooding more players in easy competitive games like that.

When people say this, who are they actually talking about?

Go back a decade or so and Moldova and Luxembourg were both comfortably finishing bottom of their qualifying groups. Luxembourg are now an established mid tier nation comfortably finishing 3rd in the euros group and winning v Bosnia home and away. Moldova had excellent draws v Cechia and Poland.

Even Andorra have started to improve. Played 9 games, picked up two draws and only conceded more than two goals three times so perhaps if they feed a few more players into Segunda in Spain they'll pick up the odd win in next qualifiers.

Maybe if they were 10-15 really poor nations it would make more sense but there isn't currently, it's five who've yet to pick up a point in groups.

Surprised to see Cyprus are one of the teams with 0 points, particularly with the group they are in. They are the sort of team that never qualifies, but can often play a part in deciding the 2nd place by picking up some draws and the occasional upset win.

I think Kazakhstan can qualify for their first tournament if they beat Slovenia tomorrow. Italy vs Ukraine looks the biggest game remaining that will decide a direct qualification spot.

Playing for england isn't a charity. One of the criticisms levelled at england in years gone by was the amount of caps given to below par players.

Rico lewis has played 5 games this season, 3 of which were off the bench. Hes only ever made 19 appearances ever, majority of which were off the bench. In what world is he deserving of a start? Being young isnt enough to justify a game.

Being good enough is the reason to play. He has actually played 33 games.

Why play Rashford when he has been absolutely crap all season?

There's no need to just cap everyone for no reason. But some of these players that you don't want playing for England will be part of the squad for Germany.

But don't worry, Southgate's conservatism will more than likely cost you another major championship that you should have won.

Nigeria drawing 1-1 again in the African world cup qualifiers....they have probably two world class forwards now in Oshimen and Boniface and some very good backs ups (Ihenacho scored today and Awoniyi has scored at a good rate for Forest in last six months) so I presume issue is they're trying to play 3 or even 4 of them at the same time as Lookman is also a good option and that's completely unbalancing them in other areas of the pitch where they're pretty weak compared to previous generations?

Got a bit of work to do to win their group anyway.

I don't understand why Portugal use their strongest lineup vs terrible poor Iceland team!

Penalty Scotland

Of course it's Dønnums fault. Guys a mess

Bullshit call. Club and country getting shafted by pathetic refs every game
