International Call-ups 09/10

Jack Barmby played the second half for England under 16s against Scotland tonight

Cathart, Dudgeon, C Evans and Norwood all selected for Northern Ireland u21 squad for games against Germany and Czech Republic.

Josh King is with the norway under 19s in Belgium for games on the 13th against Kazakhstan, 15th against Andorra and 18th against Belgium

Federico Macheda is with the Italy U21 squad who will play this Friday and then next Tuesday.

Josh King starting for Norway u19s against Kazakhstan.

Macheda not even on the bench for Italy u21s.

King came off after 50 mins and his replacement won a penalty and scored a goal in norways 2-0 win

Evans, Cathcart, Norwood and Dudgeon all starting for NI U21s vs Germany, although Dudgeon's just gone off after 34 minutes.

What a great free kick by Norwood eh, 94th minute equaliser straight into the top corner. Also, Corry Evans won man of the match for his performance. Sky Sports did a post-match interview with both of them too.

Cleverley starting for England U21 against Portugal U21 as part of a 5-man midfield. Kickoff in about 5 mins or so.

Cleverley reminds me of Iniesta. Beyond their physical similarities, their game is neat & tidy, quick turns, deceptively quick and surefooted, always picking out the right options and equally useful in front of goal. A bit like Scholes as well but much better with his tackles but lack Scholes raking passes.

King an unused sub today for Norway U19s, which is a bit concerning.

No U21 debut for Eikrem either, also an unused sub vs Serbia, who had Ljajic starting (Filip Djuricic, the kid we were heavily linked with, came on from the bench).

The one who was at the Chelsea match last season sitting near Jose? He looked alot like Bojan..

I would presume they were keeping him for the game against Belgium since they're likely to be the toughest opponents and they didnt need him against Andorra. Djuricic is with Heerenveen now where he has been getting rave reviews for their youth teams but cant play for their seniors until he turns 18 in January

Pretty much agree. Just watched it and liked what I saw from Cleverley. He can cross and take a good corner too. He could be a future full international.

Will there be a load of United players featuring for N. Ireland today? Will Obertan play for France? And which of our kids will play for England?

Cathcart, Norwood and Evans should all start. Dudgeon went off injured against Germany so probably won't play.

NI U21s about to kick off on Sky Sports 2 - Cathcart, Evans and Norwood definitely start, couldn't see Dudgeon as they were going down the line.

Not going too well. I've got a river if anyone needs.

King starting for Norway U19(Norway are useing their U18) vs Belgium.
Both teams have qualified for the next round, only playing for 1st and 2nd of their group.
Will be an interesting match, Belgium are usualy strong at youth-level.

King just scored a penalty to put norway 3-0 up and Belgium are down to 10 men

Not watching it just saw the live text commentary on uefa.com. Belgium staging a comeback 3-2 now with 5 mins left

Strong win for Norway that - Belgium have a lot of talented players now.

Should be mentioned that Norway has a sub called Christian Landu Landu - apparently he was also so good that they had to name him twice :)
