Inter failed to pay Lukaku transfer bonus; ManUtd asked for Skriniar or Lautaro to close the deal

Seems a silly story. Inter's transfers will be backed by a bank guarantee. So if Inter refused to pay it would go to UEFA to resolve, i.e. make Inter pay up.

Would be embarrassing for Inter not being able to pay though and their owns. Loss of face.

A truly appalling source, but it's a fun and spicy little story, bit different to the normal.
Inter`s owners own another Chinese club which they closed till further notice to cut costs. Their debt is generally high and COVID has hit Inter badly. They`re yet to finish payment to Madrid for Hakimi as well and Lukaku`s deal was structured to be paid over 5 years with bonuses indeed included the story of that clause on top of Inter being unable to pay up isn`t unrealistic.
The paper may be questionable but the financial aspects of this are as real as it can get

If Inter decide to give us Martinez or Skriniar I will give everyone in this thread £100.

As if that’s going to happen

Just checking in.

Definitely Hakimi is the one. Will link up beautifully with Sancho on the right next season!

Isn't Lautaro supposed to be excellent whereas Skriniar didn't live up the hype? Some caftards felt the latter was one of the best CB talents around.

I've watched them in the flesh a few times and I have never seen the hype with Skriniar. He makes Chris Smalling look like Ronaldinho.

Lautaro on the other hand I'd take in a heartbeat.

Anything extra for thread creator?

I'd be fine with Hakimi and your £100.

Unfortunately Inter are in the same boat with Real and Hakimi as they are with us, they haven't paid Real a penny for Hakimi yet, and they've missed a payment already...

The bank will pay up and they will then charge inter horrible interest on defaulting on payment. I think. If someone knows how this all works in this scenario be interested to read it.

I will avoid another Argentine, we never good with them. I’ll take Skriniar but not for 51m value. Give us Skriniar plus 26m and we have a good reasonable deal.

Just posting in the thread to get a ticket for this lottery.

Can't wait to buy my Skriniar or Lauturo Jersey with this 100 quid.

Take one that dortmund could use and then use him and martial in the double Haaland/sancho deal.

Mirror link (not saying a reliable source) which explains potential issues/ramifications (allegedly), the most interesting perhaps being the 31/3 deadline relating to timing of Uefa licences ... if correct, Inter would have to sort something out.

Also has a link to the Corriella story.. funny reading the English translation.
