Are there any more you'd recommend?

Patch Adams was supposed to be inspirational, but ended up as a crap and boring comedy.

Rocky - First movie is a classic before they started the whole franchise
The Shawshank Redemption - Probably the greatest movie of all time
A Beautiful Mind - Great movie, Crowe's best.
Glory - Only watched this recently, fantastic

For anybody who watches Indian films, Anbe Sivam is a very good one/

Saving Private Ryan - I have learned about WW2 when i was a kid and always thought "Wow it would be so cool to be in a war and killing people" then i saw that movie and realised how bad it was. Very powerful movie

With my arty head on, my inspiration has to be Blade Runner and Alien. Lord of the Rings is also very inspirational when you look at the extreme level of detail and depth they added to the lore. Not to mention the music was so damn fantastic. Listening to the sound track gave me a new appreciation for classical music.

Lord Of The Rings films took away from the detail and depth of the lore. You know I wonder what part of Lothlorien being a golden forest didn't they understand? Or Galadriel not being some arrogant bitch. Glorfindel rode Frodo to rivendell not Arwen, Sam and Frodo didn't row upon going to Shelob. Theres about 100 more events that didn't happen in the book and a few that did happen that weren't including.

Old Man Willow, Tom Bombadillo, Eowyn and Faramir's romance within Minas Tirith and Aragorn saving them with kingsfoil.

Whoa, rant over...what was I on about again?

7 Pounds

The Pursuit of Happyness

Finding Neverland definately

I've never enjoyed Rocky. The only inspiration I had was to get off the sofa and turn it off.

Dunno about inspirational, but the Shawshank Redemption really put me on a high for the rest of the day.

I was referring to art design. Not the actual lore in the book. To be fair, the majority of Jacksons' decisions I agreed with, you can't have hundreds of characters appearing in the film, it would baffle the entire mainstream audience. Tom Bombadil and the 'Warg Attack' in the TTT were the only decisions I disagreed with him on.

Thought the art direction and music in the films were staggering. Leaps ahead of any other film.

I'm glad they cut him out. I thought that part of the book dragged!
