There are wider issues being debated here than the penalty being handed to me. There's the issue of hypocrisy. The issue of how posters are actually supposed to find a balance between offending mods and being able to speak their mind. And the issue of you mods ruining an atmosphere by introducing change for the sake of it rather than need.
The most shocking thing in all of this is that i've gone through the forum and seen that you've changed counterstrikes tagline, coinsidence?
As i've asked before why are you trying to sanitise the atmosphere here when it doesn't need to be sanitised. You mods should make an effort to try to listen more to the people who make this forum, the posters and actually conduct a poll on what they think needs changing. I would put money on the least mentioned factor being Language.
I have mentioned Counterstrikes tagline purely as a means to highlighting the hypocricsy of this descision not so that you might change it, I would defend anybodys right to call somebody an "uncle fecker" on an internet forum as thats in keeping with the spirit of the internet, simple freedom of expression between two strangers. I'm only asking that you extend that same freedom to everybody.
You may like to try to gloss over this by pulling rank and saying its not open to debate by why shouldn't it be, you made a mistake that could have huge repercusions in regards to the atmosphere on this forum so why should you react like a dictator and refuse to debate it openly. Your refusal to do so is just futher proof of the heavy handed attitude that you guys seem to be employing nowadays and thats only bound to lose you posters rather than gain them.
