I thought Uthappa was fecking class
Hes looked very good every time i've seen him ... we've got a ready made replacement of a sehwag that we need for the world cup... higher chanc eof him coming good.. didn see the match, pretty high but the kisds got somet alent.

He was brilliant. Its been quite some time since I enjoyed some Indian players batting.

If he'd stuck around India were looking at 350-375 easily.

i cant believe we collapsed the way we did, i saw us at 162/3 in 22 overs wich sachin and rahul batting, and then get out for 268..! feck.. what are you doing up at this time Don? you're in delhi right?

cricinfo:

At 92 for 3, India might have sensed an opening, but it was all darkness thereafter as Samuels and Lara totted up 127 at a run a ball. "We were never really in the game once they got going," rued Dravid, before focussing on the few positives to emerge from the defeat.

The obvious one was Uthappa, who batted with the fluency of the Sehwag of old while careening his way to 70 from just 41 balls. Soon after he signed him for Liverpool, Bill Shankly used to send Kevin Keegan out to play with the exhortation: "Go and drop some hand-grenades out there, son." Though it's not known what Dravid or Chappell said, Uthappa certainly made an explosive impact.

I like the team that played today besides the 5 bowlers bit. take out either one of kumble and bhajji and put in another batsman. not sure who that should be though. maybe sehwag as a middle order batsman.

how did pathan bowl? his figures don't look very good.

True about the team. As I read somewhere, this is probably 90% of the team that will play at the cup. Decisions basically are Gambhir or Utthappa and Sehwag or 5th bowler (Could be Patel or Kumble/Harbhajan).

Didn't see the Indian bowling. Stuck at office following it on cricinfo but yes Pathan's figures don't look too good.

We have a cracking batting line-up.

The world cup should be a walk in the park, then
