3 tests, 2 T20s and 5 ODIs

First test today. India winning the toss and choosing to bat. From 32 to 4 to 245 for 5.. Dravid's got a century and is still out there with Dhoni.

Brilliant bowling from us.

Sri Lanka 370 behind after being asked to follow on.

2 more days to get 6 wickets...
These idiots better bowl them out quickly and wrap up this test..but this being the Indian team, you just never know ...I can so totally see one of the Lankan pairs putting on a 300 partnership or something to ruin it for us.

It will be over by lunch tomorrow.

Holy mother of God ! Sehwag is tearing the Lankans a new one.

300 in a day? Surely, its possible. Hope I haven't jinxed him now.

Possible? He's done it before.

Won't get there today. Maybe another over left. He's on 282.

He didn't even have the whole day, though. Actual day's play has like 10 overs to go and Sri Lanka batted the first 5 overs of the day.

edit:

for some reason, I thought that he scored the 300 in a single day.. I was wrong.. he started on 51

I will perform online fellatio on the first person to PM a link to a stream for this.

443 for 1

A lead of 50 with 9 wickets to go.

Murali Vijay got 87 opening with Sehwag and he looked absolute quality.

Should be interesting tomorrow.

Sehwag's inhuman. 284 off 239 balls today and still not out. Would've got to the triple but for Dravid not being able to take the single and give him some more strike. Didn't give a single chance all day. Hammered Murali and Herath. The quickies took a beating as well.

I'm looking forward to the highlights but i suppose the entire innings was a highlight show.

I think Sehwag didn't want to push for the 300 at the end. He looked tired.

And yes, it really was. I saw almost the entire innings. Boundary every over.

284 in one day, that's ridiculous.

I really hopes he breaks Lara's record tomorrow.

The 412 record was beaten again today then right? 443 in a day is amazing.

Missed the triple. Just lost a little bit of concentration and lobbed the ball back to Murali...pity!

Still India's in a pretty good position now to push for the win. Still the first session on the third day and we're 501 for 3 with a lead of 109.

I think India deserve to be ranked number 1 test side in the world...their batting line up is legendary and theyve beaten all theyve had to beat in recent years to prove their as good as it gets right now....

Feel sorry for Sehwag....deserved the triple ton...one of the best innings your ever likely to see was that...

For the people who've seen cricket for a long time, have there been much better batting line-ups? Sehwag, Gambhir, Dravid, Sachin, Laxman, Yuvraj, Dhoni..

They need to sort out these sub-continent wickets.

No wonder you all average over 50.

Although yes Zing, that batting line up is rather handy.

Bar Yuvraj, none of the others average falls more than 4-5 points if you only consider away venues.

No there havnt...their records both home and abroad are stunning which wipes out the 'flat wickets in India' stuff....by a country mile the best batting line up in the world today...

Sehwag's at it again. 414 batting first in the first ODI. Murali must surely be contemplating retirement now after what Sehwag and Co have done to him over the last month.

Ps - I also have a strange feeling that this game isn't done yet. Got to get Jayasurya and Dilshan early.

I check Cricinfo and see us hit a great score and even though sri lanka had not lost a wicket, i thought this is Indias. I have checked it again Sri Lanka are fave. What are India doing?

Horrible wicket, yes. Class match, though. Great bowling in the last 6 overs from India.

Didn't see a single ball being at work. Glad that the boys held their nerve at the end there. Great victory and a good game and all but spare a thought for the poor bowlers. Bloody nightmare that must have been.

its the only way they will get people to come watch ODIs now
feck cricket
hope the sport dies

825 runs man, 600 balls. Wasn't a cricket match was it? More of "Who can score more" TM

Like i said, Entertainment.

Thought we'd lose actually, The 49th over was tremendous from Zak. 2 run outs as well.

When does college end for you? You're back home early.

And anyway, as entertaining as this turned out to be.. this could be quite horrible if the same sort of pitches are retained for the 50 over world cup coming up.

Cut class today.

That would be horrible indeed. But i'd bank on the Board of cnuts managing Cricket in India would ask the curators to do them that way.

Though I agree it was a ridiculous match, due to the pitch as much as anything, despite breaking records there were probably more questions than answers for both teams in the end. Have to say, I was on edge from the 15th over onwards of Sri Lanka's innings. It would have been an embarrassing defeat had we lost, not saying we are exempt from all humiliation because we just scraped a win, but it is good to know that our fantastic work in the batting was rewarded in the end (just). We do have to majorly reconsider our bowling options now, Nehra and Zaheer probably won us the game in the last 10 overs but everything they did before that could have easily contributed to a shocking loss. Glad we won, even if it was by the skin of our teeth.

When SA v AUS played at the wanderers, the pitch was more or less the same and no one complained about it and in the end the match got recognition of being the best ODI game ever, and this happens in India and every is moaning about pitch etc etc. It was a great match, deal with it and enjoy it - the T20's has changed the face of the cricket.

People are bitching because every pitch in India is similar to this one.

Dilshan turned in to a cracking player at last, although at 33 probably only has 2 or 3 years left in him. Srilanka should pretty much cruise this now.
