India vs SA First Test

really fecked up. bad light being offered right after laxman gets out. why couldn't they check while he was still batting?

Me and DE were discussing India in the Ashes thread.:nervous:

Soon as the Eagle said Sachin was playing well, he got out.

traitors!

anyway, i have no faith in this pace attack. why isn't munaf in the team? also give pathan some time damnit. he'll come good.

I miffed why Bhaji is not in the team...

dunno about that Sultan, i've never been in favor of playing 2 spinners outside the sub-continent. esp. since almost all our batsman can turn the arm if the occassion so demands. but this bowling attack looks really weak to me. our batting failing like it did today won't help either.

Laxmans wicket has given them the edge. To be honest i'm not too dissappointed with todays performance, except Sehwag and Jaffer who should shoot themselves. I liked that the rest all battled and were prepared to grind it out. Ofcourse one could say that those who got set should have carried on but i liked the intent from the middle order.

Hello Mehro. All depends on Ganguly and Dhoni today. If we get to 250 plus i fancy our chances.

that good huh? sadly i have to be content with the cricinfo commentary.

Ntini to Dhoni, OUT, good length delivery outside the off stump. Dhoni line it up nicely and drives hard but fails to keep it down, Pollock moves across from extra cover, drives across full length to his left and takes a one-handed blinder. A certain Mr. Jonty Rhodes would have been proud of that catch. That's the wicket they wanted - we are into the Indian tail now.

Ganguly's played well...I don't get the sense beghind taking the singles off the first few balls but it seems to be working.VRV on fire..!

there's no sense in those early singles. he's an idiot to be batting like that. fecking protect the tail damnit. can't see him retaining his place once yuvraj comes back. they should have tried him for the ODIs instead. would have done better than kaif anyway.

i think i love vrv.

In fairness Ganguly batted really well although the manner he rotated the strike was irritating. Players like Laxman and Ganguly are also under unncessary pressure thanks to the team management in South Africa

This comment will seem rather controversial.

Ganguly today reminded me of a certain Mr. Boycott in the twilight of his career.

Selfish.

SA 5-2

Ganguly played well....better than any other batsman in the team.Great concentration.

Ganguly negioted the pace well and kept his concentration. Tendulkar,Dravid and Laxman all got starts but couldn't keep going. Hope the bowlers keep it competitive. Khan should do well.

No denying that Don.

Just his running and body language seemed to me the man was playing for himself.
