England:
Strauss, Cook, KP Pietersen, A Flintoff, PD Collingwood, MJ Prior, GP Swann, SJ Harmison, JM Anderson, MS Panesar

India:
V Sehwag, G Gambhir, R Dravid, SR Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Z Khan, A Mishra, I Sharma

Good start for England. Cook just got out. I think it'll be a draw, though. Very flat pitch here in Chennai.

122/1

185/3

Another couple of wickets would be nice. Not a long batting line-up this for England.

Interesting days cricket that.

India edging the day with the wicket of Strauss at the end (class unexpected innings).

We need 400 realistically, don't think we'll get it.

Depends on Flintoff and Prior.

Can't believe we picked Swann.

They're overrated.

Get in England :D

Who was it who laughed at me when i said i fancy us to atleast draw the test series?

Long way to go i know, but i told you we can play Cricket.

And England has the Indians "Swann-ing" around Chennai. ;)

That words, sort of.

155/6 at close.

A lead of something near a hundred will be priceless on this pitch.

Can't see us scoring many runs second innings, so we'll need it.

1st time since the last Ashes series I'm getting up in the early hours to watch a game of cricket.. and I can't wait! Hopefully we get them all out for 250

me too, we've just been unwatchable since.

The English jumping on the bandwagon I see.

Strauss well on his way to another ton.

It was me.

And it looks like Indian team were as overconfident as me about England and have been rightly humbled here.

Need to keep the target under 350 for any kind of chance, even then it would be a minimal chance to avoid defeat here.

Fair play for admitting you were wrong ;)

And yes, i agree about the target.

247 lead with 7 wickets remaining should get atleast 400 imo

One of Collingwood and Strauss need to go on and get 100

Sehwag will be out before 11:30

Even with a target of 387 England are bowling negatively.

Awful batting, intent and decision making in the second session. Gave India the initiative.

Sehwag gone!

Masterful innings.

This test match has bought back my faith in cricket.

Ban 20/20

Agreed!

Test match cricket >>>>>>> 20/20

I'm glad Swann has got Sehwag out, England have a chance again. Would be great if we could get another wicket before the end of play.

England threw it away today. They should have batted at a much quicker pace. They needed someone like Flintoff to play a quick cameo of even 30-40 runs. Instead they went no where in the session between lunch and tea. I fancy us to chase this down now.

Pitch looks quite decent.

There were some deliveries that really took off and turned sharply towards the end of the day. India's best chance is to treat it like a one day game.

I reckon Yuvraj will be the most important player tomorrow. He'll decide the game either way.

It would be a world record if India win.

Morning session will be the most important, probably. It's a huge target, though, and I doubt India will chase it down. Either England are going to sneak a win or it will pan out into a tense draw.

Its not that huge anymore. 250 odd runs in 90 overs. Bar Dravid everyone else normally scores at a reasonable rate to match the required RR. If we have wickets in hand, likes of Dhoni and Yuvraj would definitely for for it in the last session.

What a fecking match.

Sehwag's threw his wicket away. If he'd been there at the end of today's play, we'd win for sure.

When Prior fell, I thought we'd win chasing 387. We're in a good position now, and I still think we will win. I hope I'll be able to get tickets for tomorrow. (I live in Chennai)

I hope Dravid gets a big score. It's been too long.

What an innings by Sehwag..

Can't wait for the day's play should be fascinating.

It's a pity this is only a two test series.

will you be going to see the days play??

and Dravid is the important link. if he plays his "wall" role, all our other stroke makers can make this happen.

i dare to dream :wenger:
