India vs England - One Day Internationals

Sehwag was going absolutely mental for a while there. Pity he got out .. but the batting order is deep enough to capitalize on the solid start. 300+ me thinks.

387 - 5

India's second-highest score in ODIs and the highest by any team in India...

The pitch seems very good for batting but it will be one hell of a run chase if England pull it off..

Jesus India are in some good form. And what an innings from Singh!

BTW it's definitely gettable.

I still remember that game between Australia and South Africa... I was at my South African mates house, there was 4 of em over and me. After our phenominal innings I was like they're surely no chance, but I gave them a few overs, which were thoroughly unconvincings with them losing an early wicket.

I was dead-tired and figured that was the match, so I went home.

Let's just say I got a few calls a few hours later!

38-4

Looked out on first sight.

Replays show the ball pitched outside leg - unlucky!

Team's playing a lot of cricket, good thing is we have almost a whole different team for the ODIs.. it's working well

England 195/8 (35.3 ov)

Oh Boy .... Big big defeat on the cards . Yuvi's knock must easily be one of the best ODI knocks of late. This squad has some good balance and all round options and the best part is that there are so many other players knocking for an opportunity. Things look good for us ...

And it's a wrap. England 229 all out.

Nice little cameo from Bopara, but too little too late. They need to improve in the bowling department big time before game 2 or they've going to be creamed all through the series. Next couple of games should be interesting.

Sachin asked to be rested as he is worn out, doesnt seem like they need him

We're shit at ODI's. Have been for years.

Fancy us in the test series.
I don't think we'll (England) lose.
heh...
You got no shot in tests as well. I don't remember the last time England won a test series against us.

It seems as if Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, England have all gone backwards in recent times, whilst India have managed to stay at the same level?

They don't particularly look a great cricket side but they are up there as the best of the bunch at the moment. Playing at home recently has been an advantage of course and I still think Australia are the best still overall. The problem they may come across is if they have any good youth coming through. Then again I don't think anyone really has.

96 according to a quck search i've just done, athough if we're talking one on Indian soil [wich we are really i guess], then it's back to the 70s we go.

They have looked brilliant in the past 7 matches and they are looking the part after quite a while.

And about the youth, we have probably got the best youngsters in the world atm coming through the ranks... then how can you say that no team are producing any young talent?

Yeap remember it now. The series both Ganguly and Dravid made their debut.
You have not even won a home series since then against us, no chance of even drawing one in India.

I thought Pakistan had the best youth side? Bangladesh have some top class youngsters coming through too.
