Beckham...It's towards Schmeichel... It's come for
Now the new manger won't be coming in 2-3 years time, which player do you expect United to Buy/Sell this coming 2 to 3 years?

Out:
1) Yorke, that's for sure
2) Irwin, wants first team football
3) Veron, according to speculations? 50/50 I say
4) Blanc, Wants to hang his boots at the end of the season
5) Any other possibilities you can think of?

In:
1) Hofland, a very high possibility.
2) Mexes?
3) Cisse? ;)
4) Dyer?
5) .........

let'e hear it!

From what I could guess:

Out:
1. Yorke
2. Fortune
3. Irwin + Blanc---not so much out per se. but rather moving on (or retiring)
4. Hopefully Wallwork

In:
1. Mexes
2. Cisse (guess United are going to have to battle it out with the Pool)
3. Davo (I figure United might as well have an equivalent to Heskey)----or is this giving Davo too much credit.

I would be ecstatic if we got Hofland and Mexes. Cisse will probably stay at Auxerre unless someone bids an audacious amount for him.

Cisse would choose the dippers over us IMO.....

They are building up there own French Foreign Legion ;)

I can see Yorke seeing out the remainder of his contract - unless SAF releases him free or next to nothing!

Veron - let him go if we get at least 25million for him....

Blanc - would be good to keep for his knowledge and help the youngsters..

Hofland - hopefully!!!
Dyer - not likely!

Out. Yorke. Johnsen. (contract up) May. Wallwork. Irwin. Blanc.

In: One or two defenders. On forward.

I think it will be like this:

Out: Yorke, Johnsen, Blanc, May, Wallwork, Fortune (maybe), Irwin.

In: Hofland or Mexes and an experinced defender i.e (Ayala, Tudor, Iuliano, Nesta) and finally a striker, don't know who though, could be Cisse.

Anyone watch Senegal get through to the final this afternoon? Their captain is also called Cisse and plays in France. He is a class right back or Central defender. I have seen all the games and he hasn't put a foot wrong yet. I wonder if he is any relation to the other Cisse? Celine might know?

And no relation if its him!

Dinny said he's moving on and Larry should be hangin' 'em up too so look for one established CB to come in and maybe a FB.

I can see what you mean, though i do sadly think it will happen, else, May could stay and maybe Blanc?? <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

Superstar was sold to So'ton before Strachan stuck his oar in. I'm still hoping RJ can get fit and do a job for us though. I think O'Shea and Brown are still a year away from leading the line so Ronny's experience will be vital if we can't land one of the fav's (Mexes, Hofland, Ayala) in the summer.

I would much rather see Chivu come to United rather than Hofland. I don't think he is as good as he is made out to be, and I think Chivu is a world class defender.

If Fergie decided to cash in on one of his top five midfielders (most likely Veron or Beckham) then I think we should sign Rivaldo. I am a admirer of him and think he would be an absolutely fantastic buy for the club, and if he could reach peak form then he would be without doubt the best player in the world.

He could play the Beckham role and he is better that Beckham because he scores more goals.

Beckham is the only one that can play the Beckham role ;)

we have problems at the moment trying to keep all the midfield happy - why get another midfielder?

Rivaldo scors more goals because he plays as a forward or a withdrawn striker!!!

i take it your not a beckham fan? <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

and if rivaldo hasnt reached his peak by now.... chances are he never will!!!!

hes not young ya know!!!

;)

Out - Barthez...I think Fergie's having big 2nd thoughts about the loveable Frenchman.
Out - Blanc...only because he's retiring.
Out - Veron...Fergie will want him to stay but he's never settled and the big money will smooth the way.
Out - Irwin...surely not another contract?
Out - Keane...at the end of next season on a Bosman.
Out - Solskjaer...it'll happen...sometime/anytime in the next 18 months...Fergie still doesn't see him as a #1 striker.

In - Jasskelainen(?)...the Bolton keeper.
In - Desailly...long time Fergie favourites never die they just grow older.
In - Di Canio...see above.
In - Henrik Larsson...again, too late but we'll end up with him.
In - David Beckham...that counts as an IN surely?...anyway he'll re-sign.
In - ?????...I hope so.

you smoking crack or summink!!!

Keane - out!!!?
Ole - out!!?
barthez - out!!!!?

have you ever pissed in the mersey?

at times Becks does a good impression of being shit.
then again at other times he almost convinces you he is worthy of being shortlisted as World Player of the Year.

I think we can all agree his true worth is somewhere in the middle of those two extremes.

that doesn't tell us much...but Beckham if he is anything surely he is an an enigma.

He's the kind of player you wouldn't be surprised to be lifting the World Cup and be worth it(if nothing Beckham has the aura of 24 carat destiny about him...lucky f**k) and yet he's also quite believable in the role as a sub Robbie Savage run all day nothing special kind of player.

jammydevil = scouser ;)

FAV united moments:

Jordi scoring in the Oofa Cup Final for Alaves...Coley scoring for Ingerland

why jammy??

he may be a scouser - but jordi scoring for Alaves IS a memorable moment (was against pool) and Andy Cole scoring was memorable moment to!!!

I just think he smokes dope!

just trying to be realistic and get inside Fergie's head.

Keano I think wants another a challenge before he's too old...especially if that comes the way of a Bosman.

Ole - he's always been a potential transfer makeweight, I know it's a scanadal but now he's getting a little older?

Barthez - like I say, I think Fergie is having second thoughts...too many blunders...too many goals conceded full stop.
tripping out at half 3 in the morning from a London nightclub isn't gonna endear old sourpuss either.

After his last post - so do I!
<img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

keano will sign and end his career at utd

as for my magic moments...they just reflect top moments in the career of two of my favourite United players.
the fact that they were not playing for United at the time is in some part why I chose these two moments...we can all state the obvious.
After all the shit Andy Cole took about not being good enough for England...don't you think I hit the roof when he scored?...check out the players congratulating him...Paul Scholes, Gary neville and Teddy Sheringham...they were ecstatic!

Jordi equalising against the gypsies?...didn't quite have the happy ending but at the time I thought it was the dog's bollocks.

Out: Yorke, Blanc+Johnsen (?), Fortune, Wallwork, Irwin.

In: Mexes (oh PLEASE!), Cisse I hope and maybe a new keeper. Maybe Enke, maybe Jaskelainen although I still think Barthez is a great shot stopper.

I reckon we're about Mexes and Cisse away from being the best in the world. Right now we're not even as good as we were in the Treble season which was absolutely the peak of football, since then we've gone down.

Out:
Yorke
Irwin
May
Wallwork

50/50s
Veron
Barthez

Re-signs:
Beckham
Blanc
Keane

Ins:
Mexes
Chivu
Cisse
Di Canio

Next Season's squad:

Barthez/Carroll
G.Neville/P.Neville
Brown/OShea/Mexes
Chivu/Blanc
Silvestre
Giggs/Chadwick
Keane/Butt
Veron/Scholes
Beckham/Fletcher
Di Canio/Solskjaer
Van Nistelrooy/Cisse/Forlan

Would be a unstoppable. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

Any Utd fan who doesn't list Ole's goal against the germans as one of their favourite moments is a wolf in sheep's clothing i.e. a dipper

Let me guess - are you Red Mist? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

I don't think there will be a very big change if we can at least win one thing this season. I predict:
Out:
Blanc - retire
Johnsen - can't get a new contract
Irwin - look for regular football elsewhere
Clegg - no need to explain
Wallwork - no need to explain
May - no need to explain

In:
Hofland - big chance!
Ayala - really hope so!
may be one more backup striker

I'm hoping for:

Hofland, Tudor, Bridge and Cisse (or Ashton)

Realistically, Hofland+Bridge

I feel Yorke will stay and will only leave if given a free transfer (Bozzie taught him that  ) otherwise he'll stay on until the end of his contract.

With Denis leaving, we're going to need more cover at LB and I see Bridge as someone who can definitely give Micky decent competition.

Chivu-Hofland or Mexes-Hofland or Mexes-Chivu would make good partnerships but I am looking for a couple of big, young yet experienced CBs who are quite commanding and good in the air and the best pair for me would be Tudor and Hofland, both 22-23 yet have good experience in the CL and both have been playing regular league football for a good few years now.

Both have shown an interest in joining United as well.
