In Memoriam: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (feat. Gameweek 8)

The quality has looked a lot like the first half of that Forest - Fulham game. I can see that being Everton's level for the time being, but I would have expected West Ham to have picked themselves up a bit by now after a rough start.

Yeah Patterson stands out most games now. He has settled in well.

He looks solid in defence and good on the ball, surprised that Liverpool didn't nab him as back up for TAA instead of the current RB back up Ramsay (who as far as I know hasnt played a game) since they were obviously scouting the Scottish league .

Any Scots (or people who have seen either play a lot) have an opinion on him Vs Calvin Ramsay?

Ramsey has been injured since he joined I think.

Unlike us, Arsenal have abundance of pace upfront in them and they work hard like dogs too whilst defending. Compare it to the workrate of Ronaldo Sancho and Rashford, combine it with the clumsiness of Maguire and laziness of Shaw and there you have your 4-0 Brentford. I hate our players sometimes.

What are you on about?

Our pace upfront literally took Arsenal apart the other week.

Nah, in hindsight this is harsh on Forest and Fulham.

I think the three worst games I've seen this season have been Everton games, and I'm pretty sure this is the third Everton game I've seen.

Thought the Villa match was bad. This is disgraceful. Either team could easily be down the wrong end by the end of the season.

Just had a gander at the table - it's the seventh league game for both sides. Everton have scored four goals. West Ham have managed three.

It shows.

So glad I decided to watch psv v feyenoord than this garbage.

PSV had Branthwaite score as well, so probably going to be more goals from Everton players in that game than this one, too.

Great to see Ruud starting well.

Great quick, snapshot finish that from Maupay. The game needed that.

The design on West Ham’s jersey shoulders looks like the shite left over after taking a sticker off something

Yeah it's really quite shit, isn't it?

Usually get used to new kits pretty quickly even if they're a bit naff, but every time they show a close up of a West Ham player it still hits me how crap it looks.

Patterson is the bigger talent. Rarely looks phased anytime he was thrown in for either Rangers or Scotland. Hate to keep saying it but if we as a club (especially the fan base) didn’t look down on the Scottish game so much we could have some really good players at very good prices.

How poor must Scamacca be if he can't get on for Antonio playing like he's half cut?

Genuinely looks like they taped up the shoulders and have hastily tried to rip it off just before kick off. It’s shocking.

Yeah it seems (to a layman like me it least) that they are churning out new international quality fullbacks season on season.

And Arsenal's pace barely landed a glove on us. Saka's goal was jammy as feck that came about following a rare mistake from Varane.

Oddly enough, I reckon both Leicester and West Ham could improve if they swapped managers.

I think so too now that you said it

Think both squads are sick of their respective managers and are playing below their level.

Arsenal played very well against Brentford. Also true that Brentford were terrible. Their trademark energy and pace were lacking. Arsenal ran rings around them and I am convinced that when ETH get's a true, technical, hardworking and pacey centre forward, we will play very, very well. Missing link really. Martial can be that guy. A big IF though.

Patterson just saved Everton there. His recovery speed is insane.

Thought Cornet had just fecked that up at first look, great defending by Patterson to be fair.

Did I just see David Moyes swap left backs in the 93rd minute of a game he's losing 1-0?
