Interesting on the first part - to me Blokhin / Pele / Messi looks even better than the current version (great though it is). As I wrote in the OP Pele is probably the only striker more complete than Van Basten and it keeps the same mix of technique, physicality, aerial ability and work-rate whilst bringing a bit more in terms of pace and playmaking - Messi / Pele would be outrageous IMO. I don't think its a massive upgrade, but definitely wouldn't see it as a step down.

Oh, I should have worded and explain it better. It has much more to do with personal preference then them not working great together. In the letter stages of the draft it becomes almost as GOAT throwing from one team to another and there was not so much need for him (or in general when it just becomes GOAT fest which is a bit boring). Personally I just like this trio better as every piece give various different problems for other team to deal with, so would hate seeing it gone.

"Never vote" is going to far, but I would be closer to calling it a draw. So, it is just the case of personal preference and liking what was already on the table.
But I understand going for Pele, I would be very tempted to go for him myself.

Ran a confirmation search for Charlton because I remember him winning at least once, and he has won three (which is quite surprising)!

Yep, thrice at the very least.

@GodShaveTheQueen had him in Ludo Draft, and @Theon and I had him in Doubles Draft — don't remember the last one but he definitely reached another final (or possibly even two)!

It's really probably the sole and interesting omission in the winners list. Cruyff winning it only 2 times is also surprising and Yashin not featuring at all.
