If you could sell and sign 2 players in Defence, Midfield and Attack who would it be?

Defense: Cancelo and Koulibaly... They are the best available (De Ligt won't come)
Attack: Dybala/Felix and Pepe... I think Sancho will stay one more season at Dortmund


The midfield is a bit difficult because it depends if we lose Pogba and Herrera. There are quality players like Rice, Ndidi, Ndombele, Barella, Neves, Tielemans, Fernandes, Van de Beek, Havertz, ...

If we sign just 2 mids, then Fernades and Ndombele.

Get rid of Sanchez and Lukaku and replace with Dybala and get this feeling we will get Douglas Costa
 
It's important to sign 6 players (CB, RB, CDM, CM, RW, ST) to compete for the league. We don't need players that will cost more than 100m, we could build a great team with quality players without spending a lot of money. Also, it is important to sell the deadwood.

RW - ST - Rashford​

We could sign Alderweireld and Meunier for 50m, also players like Tielemans, Pepe, etc that are quality and not expensive.

Even these targets I'm not sure are realistic. But 5 of those 6 are young players. That is what the club should be going for, not some established 28 year-old of similar profile to Sanchez.

That actually is a consideration because Arsenal already couldn't fill their EL squad this season, and have now lost Ramsey and Welbeck.

Wow, realistic ? I would say the chance of getting any of them is remote, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't disagree, but you're looking at a £400m lay out, and an income of about £20m ?

De Ligt might not be realistic now, Rodri will also be hard to get if City are in for him. If we sell Pogba and Lukaku, i dont think it will be expensive at all. Of course also getting rid of Alexis and the other players confirmed leaving.

Luka Jovic. We have to get him. We lack of a clinical finisher. Every top team has a prolific forward who is their top scorer. In our case, Pogba is our top scorer. It says a lot about our forwards


Our player of the year is Shaw. The previous years, it was De Gea. That says a lot of about the squad in general. Lack of quality across the field.

I would get in AWB, De Ligt (if we can't get him - Koulibali), Rice and Rabiot (not my dream player but he is free and that counts for a lot), Fernandes or Felix

Out: Rojo, Darmian, Bailly, Herrera, Valencia, and possibly Lukaku (money in would be about £40m w/o Lukaku, maybe £90m with Lukaku)

Cost for signing the players: De Ligt £75m, AWB probably £50m, Rice £50m, Rabiot free, Fernandes £75 M or Felix £90m

Total cost: £250m - £275m

So if we sell Lukaku - the net cost would be around £170M - we could even sell DDG and replace him with Henderson to lower costs down to £120M or so

This would be a huge step in the right direction: We wouldnt win the league, but it will arguably be the most talented squad in the league - which could pay dividends in 18-24 months.

We have lost our place in the Champions league in the last years. Every transfer window is going to be more difficult to sing top talents. I hope we have the ambition to sign what we need (like Madrid, Barca, Juventus, PSG, City, Bayern).

Sometimes less is more when we sign the best players we can get (quality over quantity).

If we are going to sign just 3 players, I would go for De Ligt, Sancho and Havertz.

Pogba doesn't want to be here, then sell him and sign 2 midfielders. Same with De Gea, we have Romero and Henderson to replace him.

Also, I hope Ole can get the best of our current players.
