If the Escude and Sorin rumours are true...

Interesting point, its been a big jump up for Carroll, and the fact that he's done so well shows that he was a really good buy, but he does need to tested gradually in bigger games to see what how he copes. For sure it was too risky at the time, though I think van der Gouw should have come in. But now, I think he'd feel more confident of playing Roy - but he's clearly been after a world class keeper this summer.

Leeds can hardly splash out £12m when they're after players like Okon and Barmby.

I certainly would.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Depends. If we sign Escude or/and Sorin as replacement, it is ok for me.

If he is happy to remain as LB, I would be biothered if he is sold. Nevertheless, we should have backup for that role.

I think they have the cash. Barmby costs 2.75M and Okon is free. May be they will sell someone later on. Afterall, their fans will be happy if Sorin is signed.

I'd like Mikky to stay, I think he had been wonderful last season, mainly when Giggs move to play in a more advance role, he was the one to supply the crosses from the left.
I think we've been a little bit spoilt with having Denis around for so many years.
I like Mikky to stay, I think he could improve to be a great leftback for us. And giving him a little bit more competition would be good for his development.

2. We won't need a fourth striker.
3. Veron and Scholes will be in real shit since Butt, Keane and Becks are rarely injured (Now that those three are likely to be first choice midfiedlderd)
4. We will be harder to beat.

I'm happy :D

I`d love Mickey to stay - he is dashing and young and will develop more as an attacking defender if he stays at Old Trafford.

But has he sealed his own fate by grumbling (supposedly a number of times if this is not simply the media recycling his prior comments) about the position he had to play?

I think Mickey has been a little unwise. At the right club - ie this one - he will develop and become a regular in the French national team.

At another club it is likely he also won`t have the luxury of picking and choosing where he wants to play (why should he? competition is fierce in a number of clubs and formidable in others)so he will end up in a lesser club in a position he may not want.

If Mickey goes he will have done a good job of booting himself out. It may be down to his choice in the end but I think he will become just another middle range player at another club.
