IF Rashford gets a knock - Who scores the goals?

Whatever happens I hope we’re done with Weghorst. Rather have McTominay upfront if Martial gets injured again.

Weghorst.

Cometh the hour, cometh the MAN!

The first player to score three consecutive hattricks in a row in PL history.
Then you woke up, heard the shower running and when you went into the bathroom Bobby Ewing was showering and said " Good morning!"

it's really irritating that garnacho is also injured, because he would have been the pacy threat to complement martial and antony.
sancho-martial-antony don't have much threat in behind. would need antony and bruno to make constant runs. i'd actually be interested in seeing antony-martial-pellistri, think his left-footed crosses would be more threatening, and pellistri balances it with speed.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a bit more of pellistri. I agree with you about garnacho though. He would have been ideal to come in and provide a direct threat with his pace.

Garnacho instead of Rashford, with Martial up front is not THAT bad...but we'll be sorely missing Marcus.

Hopefully he’s not out too long. I think you can get away with it if it’s just 2 weeks or so. You could argue it could work in our favour if it’s just a very short time out.

I imagine we look a bit predictable at the moment if there’s only one danger man to target if you are an opposing manager. Not knowing where the threat will come from will throw some teams, and I can see players like Eriksen, Sabitzer and Bruno making some more frequent runs into the box than usual.

We're going to be relying on Fernandes, Martial and Antony to get us goals in Rashford's absence, and therefore we're not going to have a natural outlet for goals. This is going to affect the way we set up and manage the game, no doubt. It's a test for ETH, because he's going to have to set us up for success without Rashford and he will know that he has to do that in order to create different goalscoring opportunities.

Otherwise we're relying on Martial tap ins before he gets injured again, Fernandes penalties and those 1/25 left foot strikes from Antony.

Martial if he stays fit is just as good as Rashford when it comes to scoring goals, as evidenced by him having 0.79 goals per 90 minutes this season compared with Rashford's 0.71 goals per 90 minutes this season. However, missing both Rashford and Garnacho will hurt no matter how you play it. The real question is all down to whether or not Martial can stay fit until Marcus is back. If we end up with both of them being fit once Marcus returns then we're in a very strong position for the end of season.

I really like Martial in ETH's teams but I just have no confidence that he'll stay fit. But I will definitely hope!

Sancho has a better chance creation rate than Rashford and Garnacho combined, so hopefully Martial can take advantage of that.

4 goals in 2 games with Rashford missing through injuries, will be interesting to see how this team develops not just goal scoring but creating chances as a whole.
