We do have some very talented young players. However, you are right, hockey is limited to a small number of states, for the best players all come from Massachusetts, New York, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Maine (and thats about it really). Still, we do have some quality young talent coming through, and they will be great. Our problem is that there is (depth wise, minus Deadmarsh, Langenbrunner, Gomez, York, Parrish, Poti etc...) a gap between this upcoming generation and the Modano/Roenick/Guerin generation.</strong><hr></blockquote>Did you know that Adam Deadmarsh was born and raised in Canada, but went to the American national team for multiple reasons:
1. His Mother is American.
2. He wasn't good enough for the Candian national program.
3. He saw playing for the U.S.A. a better opportunity to display his talent, as he would be considered a medeocore Canadian player (on the professional scene...he would stand out to scouts).
Despite all that, he still calls Canada his home.
