That is so much better and will provide the stability needed to build the innings on. Twice now we have lost early wickets as we have too many stroke players and not enough players who build innings. Until you come to malik, you have no one who will just look for the single and rotate the strike.

Bairstow looks out of his depth batting against these bowlers and in those conditions.
