ICC T20 World Cup 2021

Good score, but they could've got to 180. Will need to get Guptill early.

Decent score, but certainly gettable. England paid for a slow start in the power play. Down to the bowlers now.

England only losing 4 wickets and not posting a massive total with all the power shows how tricky this surface is in my opinion. I put England as favourites from here.

Pleased with that batting effort, I thought Malan in particular was excellent. Could have got 10 more but it's par minimum.

Close game very likely.

About 15 runs short I think

You can't have another specialist batsman wicket in hand and only score 166

167 is nowhere near enough with dew coming in.

It's a good batting deck.

You would want comfortably 180 + in an ideal world and healthy 170s as your bare minimum.

Agreed, depends what happens in the PP. Need some early wickets.

You can't claim something is nowhere near enough and then say it's only 3 away from the minimum

About Par. Eng failed to take advantage of all their batting depth but a good finish to the innings nonetheless.

Game on I reckon. Cmon NZ!

I reckon NZ will sail through here. Our bowling lineup just isn't good enough.

For all the praise NZ get (and rightly so) they do play a boring brand of cricket. Efficient yes but not fun to watch

Hang on we had 90% of the thread saying we were miles short ten minutes ago?

I really want ENgland to lose but they are class

NZ would be the worst team to win a T20 world cup

I said during England's innings you could see the lack of timing from almost everyone. That's no coincidence. This pitch is clearly tricky, probably a bit two paced. Declaring 180 is a minimum is a bit silly.

This isn't over yet, just like it wasn't over when England 'only' got 166. It'll take some effort from NZ from here, but it's do-able.

It read like half the people in the thread had never watched a T20 before.

That last over makes the NZ powerplay look much better. It'll be close this.
