ICC T20 World Cup 2021

Kohli didn't use him that well and they gave up on him after 2 games. Yet they kept giving chances to Dan Christian.
Yea, Kohli's famous for managing players like shit.

Dan Christian's just a fraud who keeps getting bought in the auctions for some bizarre reason

Bit harsh. Other than the run out what have they specifically messed up? Just a good game with England looking like they'll edge it

True - what I just meant that I think from where they were, they should've closed it out.

Sri Lanka have played alright tonight and are a decent team - but you wonder if you can defend totals in these conditions against the top teams.

Could be a let down for the Semis. Are they being played in Sharjah?

Should have comfortably closed out the SA game.

Could have won this one too.

And now we're heading for exit. Oh well.

Well done to England! Still unbeaten.

Buttler is just exceptional

Buttler - Man of the Match, but full credit to Morgan for his captaincy

Are sri lanka out of the WC or is their one more game deciding that?

Good to get a win batting first but Sri Lanka could easily have won that. England aren't so good that I'd expect them to beat a stronger team after losing the toss.

Brilliant in the field from England. The opposite of where it feels like the test team has been going over the last 2 years.

England served up a lot of gifts in that game. Malan looks seriously out of sorts and first drop is a key position. He just seems to waste deliveries at the moment, although he's obviously done well in the past.

It's another resounding win, but there are still some question marks. Can Wood come in to replace Mills?

Not officially, but we need a plethora of things to go our way to make it 4 points each between 2nd and 6th (NRR battle then). Most implausible of which is BD beating both SA and Aus.

So in translation.. we're out!

Damn.

I don't like the person who chooses our cricket team because I feel like he picks and drops the wrong people, like Chamereweera is too many runs and we need a better opener and wicket keeper.

Dhananjaya maybe should have played because he can play a bit more consistently.

Anyway, a relatively young team that should hopefully improve from its core.

Don't like the coach.

Sri Lanka can take plenty of positives from there few weeks at this tournament.

I've been quite impressed with Sri Lanka, though that was from starting with a very low level of confidence in them.

There's a fair amount of talent there.

It was cute when some people in this thread predicted that England won’t get out of the group

Bit tough on old Dan that. He's in his late 30s now and had the fastest 50 in last years Big Bash. On his day he can still bowl some tight overs as well.

There’s a lot of irrational bitterness towards England in this thread. But so far in this tournament they look head & shoulders like the team to beat. Special shout for Pakistan as well.

People are always jealous of the best in the business out there. Us United fans should know that.

This is England's cup to lose. Absolutely miles ahead of anyone else.

Despite England winning yesterday, it has convinced me completely that the toss is a major issue in the tournament. England had to rely on a worldie from Buttler to put anything that looked like a challenging total against a side that let's be honest they are head and shoulders above.

It's why I am not sure who is going to win the World Cup. Could easily be Australia if luck goes their way.

The difference with England is we have a few players capable of that knock. Livingstone has barely had a bat yet and he was the outstanding white ball player of our summer!

Other teams seem to have two power hitters max - England have 5.

Hoping that's the final from what we've seen so far.

I have absolute faith that we will manage to cock it up in the knockout stage
