ICC Cricket World Cup 2023

Gutted for Kohli, had done all the hardwork to unleash.

Interesting decision to get Jadeja in.

Kohli actually kept the scoreboard ticking. It's Rahul who's completely shell shocked here.

To win 6 WCs between 1999 and 2023 is what I call an era of dominance

It would be 5 and I would suggest that giving them a trophy when the clear favourites for the whole tournament are 156-4 on a tricky pitch to score on is a bit melodramatic.

Some of you lot are a nightmare. Try not to treat this like a Utd matchday thread with claims of defeat 25% into a match. Loads of twists and turns to come here.

300 still on.. Aus will struggle with anything over 250..
India's game to throw away ..

India still Favs with all bookies.
Australia are good odds to put a few quid on.
But yeah, there's still 20 overs left. Can easily get another 100-120 and all of a sudden india are defending 280+ with a strong bowling attack with the crowd behind them.

I think a wicket in the next five overs swings it however

love the wildly varying opinions in this thread -- can't ever accuse the caf of fence sitting

I personally want to switch off, get a nap and wake up in an hour because I am nervous

We can put 270 on here with some really good batting

Yeah. India are still very much favourites for me with that destructive bowling attack regardless of what's gone on. This bowling performance just means it'll not be a procession as many may have expected.

It will be interesting to see how India's bowlers fare on this pitch. Doesn't seem like there's much in it for the fast bowlers, though I think Shami will be important against Australia's two left-handed openers. Doesn't look like there's a huge amount of turn in the pitch either, so Kuldeep and Jadeja's role might be more tailored towards stifling the run rate more than anything.

Don’t get me wrong, KL is still a wasteman but his approach is justified today with the lack of lower order depth.

KL is the ultimate wasteman successor to Ian Bell. Can't stand the prick

Rahul and Jadeja have to rotate the strike better. This has been poor by both of them

Rahul has played so many supporting hands this WC. Here's a rare chance to do it all and immortalise himself
