Overall, a good fightback and at least 30 to 40 runs off the best aussie forecast. Smith played gloriously though, and a shit toss to lose. If India play well, no reason they shouldn't get this IMO
Yeah.. I am not too upset since I think Oz could have easily scored 350+ and that would have been that. Now we have a 20% chance here. Keeping them down to 310 would have meant a 40% chance IMO.
Restricting them to less than 330 is a good comeback but so many freebies given away.

+ the 2 they ran when it would have been a dot ball. So about 12 possibly. Too many freebies / poor short balls when they should have built pressure after wickets
Worth remembering SRL did well in their chase at this pitch and if they were chasing this number instead of 360, they would have won probably. Sanga played a blinder that day though and we will need a similar knock from someone

Not really.. they ran 1 and then Johnson smacked those runs.. they would have crossed if Haddin had been caught so in the end. it cost about 1 run IMO

Fair enough but wickets build pressure, dropped catches relieve them. Of course we will never know but it's still a catch that needs to be taken which results in dot balls
Kohli has had a pretty average tournament. Now is the time to redeem himself, in a situation which he absolutely thrives in
Oz with over 240 after 40 overs.. from that position in this WC you think teams would score at least 100 + in last 10. That Johnson innings hurt but Oz do bat deep so it was always going to be someone smashing it out. We need a knock from Kohli though. Dhoni may be the finisher but Kohli is the one who can anchor these kind of chases with just the right pace. He knows when to shift gears and can see the team home. Go on you brat.. earn your name.
India should back themselves in the middle overs and not go too hard in the first power play. Really hope india do this, only just because I hope new zealand win the world cup and I don't think they'd do over australia in the final.
