Ive been watching cricket for over 25 years .... and I have never ever seen an innings like his. It just made no sense. The only thing that would make any sense is that he was under strict team orders to anchor the innings and told that he must make it to the last over no matter what. But even then, he wen about very strangely.

Misbah and Younis played like cowards out there, so pissed off at their approach, lost us the game.

Why did Misbah approach his innings the way he did?
Why did Younis Khan approach his innings in the way he did?
Why was the power-play not taken when Razzak or Afridi were in bat?
I hope these themes are picked up in the post match interviews because Im totally bamboozled by them.

Afridi comes across as such a nice guy. Nice interview, feel for him, he gave his all.
What a match! It does beg the question though, what on earth was Shahid Afiridi thinking? Needed a much more mature innings from the captain.

What could Afridi & Akmal do.. they had to accelerate the innings due to Misbah's bizarre innings. It's like he was paid by bookmakers to play like Paul Collingwood.
Don't want Pakistan that often, but from what I've seen.
1. Misbah always bats like this, very very slow at the start, and then catches up to a decent strike rate towards the end.
2. Younis also always starts out this way, very wary, scratches around(notice the very low average for a player of such a big reputation.
3. Afridi is brainless
over the course of this world cup, afridi has responded in a mature manner. But i'm not comparing him to others.
Afridi has been a much worse behaved cricketer than Dhoni over his career.

Misbah is a useless git, he has no business playing on the international level, much less a WC semi-final. He doesnt know how to rotate the strike or run. Thats not a part of his game.

think it was sort of expected. they wanted to reduce the score as much as possible. then in the final overs, a big over would have changed things.
Btw take a bow Patel and Nehra, both under pressure but performed brilliantly.

He has matured very nicely. But I don't see why that's a reason to bash Dhoni, who has rarely ever said anything out of turn. His batting is what deserves criticism.
Thats the worst thing about it. He actually used to be renowned for it. Its just been the past 18 months where he's regressed. It used to be him and Younis who were known as the accumulaters in our innings...
I think age has finally made an impact on him.
