I paid $500 to see England in rd of 16 game but seeing Wales instead FML!!!

As a fellow Canadian I think it's safe to say most football fans here cheer for England. Commonwealth and all that.

I shit you not, we sing God Save the Queen every morning before school here from Kindergarten through grade 6.

Really? That's a bit grim.

Wow, What shite part of Canada do you live in?
Or was this back in the 70s?

That was the 90's... My mum who works in a school says they still play it periodically.

To be fair though, GSTQ is the royal anthem of canada. Not the national anthem or anything, but still the "second" anthem i suppose.

I live in central Canada... Not exactly the civil mecca of the universe, just a very loyal one haha

You didn't pay 500 bucks to watch England, you paid 500 bucks to watch the group B winners. Stop being a wimp and go and fecking enjoy the best player in the tournament.
This.

You might actually see some sweet counter-attacking football.

My dad did the same thing in France 98. Tried to see England but instead saw Romania-Croatia

Watched England-Argentina in the fan zone and they didnt show Beck's red card... but he knew he must have been sent off as he wasn't in his normal position, and the crowd shortly worked it out

speaking of fan zones... have you ever been in one? i was in vienna back in 2008. i don't panic easily, but the crowd was so tight i couldn't budge my shoulders as we crowded in. claustrophobia to the max.

Sorry what do you mean by this?

I don't understand your post.

Basically all tickets will be the same prices, just sell yours for what ever price that happens to be and use that money to buy an England ticket. No money lost or gained.

Roy Hodgson says England will fear no one in the knockout stages of Euro 2016 and are on the verge of dishing out "a tough result".

If it stays like this and you're going to Northern Ireland vs Wales, then i'd guess you'll get a fair bit more than $500 for your ticket.

However, i'd certainly be going to that game rather than watching England struggle to a 1-0 defeat to Iceland.

Plot twist: He swapped tickets and paid over face value once again. Hope the game was worth it!
