I cannot wait / I am excited!!

Absolutely the same, can’t wait to get going!

The new players are one thing but also seeing the further improvement in some of the existing team as well, plus Garnacho getting more game time and seeing Mainoo in the team more and more.

as always there will be some ups and downs throughout the season but it feels like we’ve finally got some decent foundations to build from!

I am not saying we will win the title, but something amazing is back that we lacked in years

Me too. Watched all our goals from last season before I went to bed yesterday and got hyped up. The new season brings hope and opportunity and we have plenty to look forward to with this manager, team and signings.

Hopefully we start strong against Wolves and don't lose our opening game for a change.
Me too. Can’t wait for new season to kick off.

I'm excited every season though I try to be realistic with our chances.

Personally I think we'll do well to finish 3rd again. But my hopes are to close the gap with the top further and maybe challenge late into the season but imo our squad is still well short. We still need another striker, midfielder and imo our right side is still not good enough at this moment in time. Hopefully though by the end of the season on of our right forwards really lift a level and we're sorted

Excited to see us actually have a plan and try and build something, I think we'll end up struggling to rival City (as will everyone) but I hope for a good season.

If we pick up older squad players on a free like Evans that's fine but it seems like there is a plan in place which is exciting and a strong core of young players: Licha (25), AWB (25), Malacia (23), Antony (23), Mount (24), Garnacho (19), Hojlund (20), Rashford (25), Dalot (24) and then there's promising guys like Amad and Mainoo to add in if they can cement themselves in the squad.

Tough client here, and at least Kane is surely not happening
Not really, I still remember us being the biggest club on the planet and signing the likes of Van Nistelrooy and Van Persie when that kind of striker was needed, alas, we are not that club anymore.

If everything clicks, we will have a very successful season. That would be winning the league or finishing 2nd. My eyes will be glued to the TV every weekend to see how we start beating teams.

Yup, really looking forward to this season. I do Mainoo comes back in soon too - would love to see him play a big part.

I like that our team is becoming more technical and faster. Always more exciting to watch

I was more excited for last season now I'm going into this one hoping we don't get absolutely spanked several times for the third season in a row. I hope our hammering era is over now.

I'm ready! We have definitely improved. The only real question I have is will we score adequate goals from CF and LF positions? If that happens we could be contenders, at least until March. Ha ha.

Man Utd: good improvement all over the pitch
Man City: I think they went a little backwards. Gundogen and Mahrez are not easy to replace.
Arsenal: good improvement
Cheslea: still a mess and very questionable whether they can fully get it together
Tot: Kane will most likely leave
Liverpool: midfield is much better

Not excited at all that we play Spurs and Arsenal away within 4 matches. Lose them and we start lagging behind as usual. :(

Wish I was more optimistic about united but pessimism runs though after everything that has happened post 2013.

I don't think it will be smooth sailing - the jury is out on Mount and Hojlund. And I think top 4 will be a lot tougher this year.

But excited to see the team play, which hasn't been the case for a good while now. Hoping Hojlund turns out good - if he does that will be huge. Last year I wasn't sold on Antony at all which put a dampener on things got me.

What is it about the start of the season and football particularly Manchester United that gives grown men the same feeling they had when looking forward to Christmas as a six year old?
I tell you it’s going to be a great season.

Yeah I can't wait at this point. Grab Amrabat with some sales and I think the window was about as solid as we've had in a minute if not spectacular. Barring a serious injury scare I think we'll be miles better this year on the eyes. Hopefully someone figures out how to finish between the usual culprits and the goals flow.

Indeed, this is the first time since many years that I am looking forward to a new season.

CR is gone.
DDG is gone.
Maguire is reduced to a bit part role.
McFred's significance in the team were also reduced.

Awaiting for the future of the club sale to be resolved one way or another. Clarity is needed.
Continuous backing of ETH in the market is needed.

Onward. Upward.

I'm cautiously optimistic as always. My only gripe is we are not going into this new season with new ownership... That would give me a bigger hope of a brighter long term future for the club

This off season has genuinely dragged more than any other, for me. Could be linked to the optimism around the club, could be I’ve finally realised I’m a sad bastard who just wants his footie back.

Not really, I still remember us being the biggest club on the planet and signing the likes of Van Nistelrooy and Van Persie when that kind of striker was needed, alas, we are not that club anymore.
We are not but there is still a lot to get excited about

New season is ahead of us and I cant wait to see us start! We have a top manager, bought exciting players, have a great and likeable team and our football is getting better too!! On top we have some highly talented young players who will hopefully get more and more minutes.
You didn't create the same thread last year did you?

Just asking...

No one says we will be perfect but so many things to look forward to. One reason I think we will do better is because we have much better squad depth as well, which will be key towards the end of the season when we ran out of gas

I'm actually pretty curious, more than excited, to see what comes of United this year.

But it only feels this way because nobody seems to speak about Qatar any more. So I kind of forget about it.
The moment it happens, and I guess it will,

then I'd feel sick to my stomach and hate everything about us...

And then we'll see

I’m buzzing for this season. It feels different now. We have a top manager that coaches very good football. He has the discipline this club needs. Think we’ll win another trophy next season. Can’t wait to see us play enjoyable football this season.

Nice to see some excitement!

Im looking forward to it too, and I’m not even overly optimistic for top 4 yet because I feel outside City the competition for top 4 is strongest it’s ever been.

Still, I think for once we are pretty well equipped going into a new season both in terms of our manager and some of the signings we’ve made.
Lots to be excited about.

I love this transfer window. It’s different Man Utd on all levels.

We have:
Experience (multiple CL and World Cup winners)
Youth (Garnacho, Mainoo, Amad, Hannibal) ready to breakthrough
Work ethics
Certain style (not ideal yet sure)
Great personalities
Great coach (don’t argue pls)
3 most pressing squad issues addressed by the 1st competitive game (can’t believe)

Glory, glory Season 23/24.

I am cautiously optimistic. Going by the miniscule sample size of pre-season, I think we are still Bruno or bust in attack/creativity. When he is not playing in the middle or has an off day, we continue to struggle. Having said that, we are signing a striker. So hopefully we don't need a lot of chances now.

I havent had more faith in a manager since Fergie. New fitnesses coaches, new scouts, looking for the right character in the squad. He's the best thing to happen to us in years.

This is not about us winning the league, this is about all the positive changes into the right direction.

I am excited to see ETH start to really enforce his playing style on us this season

For me, last year ETH showed us what a fantastic manager he is by handling all the big issues (Ronaldo, Maguire, opening 2 games) near perfectly. Unfortunately, the absolutely relentless schedule meant he had almost zero opportunity to train the team and instead relied on instilling a focus, a level of application and making OT a fortress again. He pushed us to compete in every competition and stripped away the excuse giving culture of previous regimes. I've been incredibly impressed with him as man that demands respect and weilds control.

This year, with more training time available and key squad additions I hope to see him make us more expansive, more dominant and more ruthless in our attacking play. This season I expect his level as a coach to really come to the fore, if it's as impressive as his management ability we're in for a real treat

Excited until we announce G*******d is back then I’ll have to find a lower league team to follow.

A full summer break from watching football is always nice. Looking forward to the new season, too.

That's what I am at too! I thought EtH last year really showed brilliant managerial instincts. The way he handled all the issues thrown at him and how he managed to steer the ship after the horrendous situation he came in was truly brilliant. But as you say, we didn't get to see his coaching ability in full. The amount of games and the need to be pragmatic to end the trophy drought and get back in the CL meant that he had to take short cuts to win football games with very little time to develop his playing style. I am very curious to see his vision being implemented more coherently this season and as you say, if it's as good as his management, we're in for a very exciting season!

I'm going to post here so I can quickly link back when all the whinging starts and remember some optimism around here

Yeah I'm really excited to see what these season brings. New players in the positions we needed, another year of ETH working on the players. There's a lot to look forward to. I can't wait.

I’m usually like a kid at Christmas, but this season feels a bit off for some reason, and I’m largely ambivalent to the start of the season. There is too much uncertainty around the club, quite a lot of change and the transfer window is quite dull this summer. Maybe I’m getting old.
Fair play to all who are excited though, and I’m sure I’ll get into it when we get going.
