I beg your pardon

Are there any other competitive European Cricket teams outside of the UK ?

I've asked this before, but going to ask anyways again cause I didn't get a logical or satisfactory answer, or don't remember..

Why is anything that is pitched outside LEG stump not allowed to be given out LBW?
It doesn't make sense?!

For balls pitching outside the leg stump especially from a right arm bowler its difficult to guage the spin and bounce on whether it would flick the bails, so the benefit of doubt was always in favour of the batsman.

After they introduced the rule in the 90's, lbw decison in the favour of the bowler if the batsman does not offer a shot and tries to pad deliberately, now the balance is more even. These days batsman should go for a shot even if the ball is pitched outside the legstump.

But that 'no shot offered' rule is limited to hitting the batsman outside off stump..

Why would batsman go for a shot even if the ball is pitched outside the leg stump though since they very well know they can intentionally pad it and not be given out regardless if the ball is hitting the stumps or not.

And THAT"s what annoys me! That rule must be modified, that at least no-shot offered should be eligible to be given out, EVEN if the ball pitched outside leg stump but is on its way to hit the stumps. Otherwise all batsman would do, and actually DO do, is intentional padding for anything pitched outside leg stump, especially when trying to save a match.
