We fans must start a campaign and do something about it. This should be powerful enough to send a clear message that can catch attention of media. For example Boycott a certain match completely , especially an empty Stratford end, all season ticket holders as a whole, threaten to go beyond a single match.

I would like to know what other fans have to say? I think it’s about time to record protests on another level…

The only way to force them out is direct action that affects their ability to make money out of the club.

We need to look at the methods of Extinction Rebellion and Just stop oil. Everything that has been tried over the last 18 years hasn't worked.

The truth is we're never going to be able to get massive boycotts. There's always going to be people turning up who don't really know or understand the issue with the Glazers.

Only thing that really did anything of note was when protesters forced the Liverpool game to get abandoned.

Sadly I'd expect to see more of that which will impact our progress under ETH

If the leeches stay, we need to make sure that we block as many games as possible next season. Two or three games in a row, where fans make sure that the games are abandoned, will force the cnuts to sell. There is no other way. Short-term pain, long-term gain. We are a soft bunch, to be honest. Try Glazering Real Madrid fans and see what happens.

Nothing fans can truly do any more than they've already done. If they feel they can still profit off of us and can just get outside investment, then they'll keep that. Best we can hope for is this outside investment does enough to help us on the pitch more than we have in the past.

Yeah will admit we are soft compared to the two Spanish giants who just wouldn't allow this to happen to their great club

go after the sponsors is the only way. Bombard their email servers and enquiry forms with Glazers out stuff etc etc. If sponsors get twitchy that will hit the leeches in their pockets.

Unfortunately, the only way they get hit is empty Old Trafford, that seems the only way. How can they keep on thinking they can carry on as owners of this club, its so clear they are disliked.

The way to do it is a way that not enough supporters are willing to do it: stop going to matches, stop watching on the tele, and stop buying merchandise.

A mass boycott of Season Tickets or getting games abandoned regularly are the only two things that could work.

Ultimately, all that will happen is people will send angry tweets to a few sponsors or if they're feeling really brave, wave a banner.

Build a time machine and go back 18 years to when everyone should have showed solidarity with those calling for boycotts at the time.

I don't think the mass boycott really works, they will have our money and that's all they care about really, there's also a massvie demand for tickets and season tickets so it's highly likely that someone will fill that empty seat if it becomes available.

Disruption seems to be only option that might make a difference but it needs to occour at back to back games, the Liverpool game getting called off got some attention but it didn't really hurt the Glazers.

Pitch invasions would cause some major issues, but your taking one for the team here as you won't be able to enter the ground for a few years or at least until the Glazers feck off.

We're fecked really as there's no easy way of moving them on in a legal and peaceful way.

The same way you got them noticing last time. Stop football matches at Old Trafford which make worldwide news

Don't let the team play until the owners go, they wouldn't be long selling If that happened

This is it, it's the only reason the glazers are here, to make money off advertising. Richard Arnold even said it in the pub last summer, the investors are worried about fan backlash.

The problem is organization, you have groups like the 1958 trying to organize this stuff, but their tweets will have like a thousand likes, so obviously not reaching very far. Someone needs to make this a global campaign to hit all sponsors associated with United. As long as their making deals with the glazers not only will we avoid their products, we'll hammer the internet and make sure no one buys them, bad reviews, twitter campaigns, boycotts, etc.

I do not think they understand how bad it will get if they stay. But, they just won't even come to the UK anymore (not that they visit a lot). I don't see how we can truly effect the value of the franchise to get them out. I hope I am wrong.

Maybe if SAF was to make it publicly known how disappointed he was with the state of the club under their ownership it might just help a little?

That's never gonna happen. He made his decision in May 2005.

He was one of the few people that should have shown solidarity with fans but he told some to go and support Chelsea.

A total financial boycott of any match day revenue would be the quickest solution. No programme sales, no food or drink sales and the wastage costs involved would have the club grind to a halt inside 4 home games.

Getting games postponed is very high risk and could have long term implications. We'd face massively increased policing bills and our fans would be tainted as thugs once again.

We got away with it last time against the unprecedented backdrop of the superleague protests. If we did it again for "internal" reasons the FA would throw the book at us to stop any group of fans holding the league to ransom in the future.

Just tell them you already have windows.

Or

Buy the club off them.

They ain't going nowhere until they get an offer they simply cannot refuse.

Bit silly how one throw away comment in the heat of the moment gets repeated years and years later

SAF did what he thought was best for the club, the reality is that he couldn't have stopped the Glazers buying the club

Obviously everything in this thread has already been tried and there are countless threads similar to this already - talk of boycotts is pointless as our fan base is too big and too disparate

Still nothing wrong with a good protest - I think there is one planned for the next home game Vs Villa

Best way to get rid of glazers is get relegated. Glazers value us at 5-6 billion when we are shit. If we are back in champions leagues fighting for titles that value and the commercial value goes up. They only care about money

Right. That's the dilemma we are having now.

There's nothing fans can do.
Wrong.
If people stopped buying merch and season tickets, it hurts the Glazers and sends a strong message.Unforunately not everyone is on the same wavelength regarding these leeches. Some want to burn them at the stake while others really don't care and just want to support the team regardless if it was run by Adolf Hitler.

Unforunately this.

They get that they are loathed by United supporters and will be out by end of the season since they smell an opportunity to cash out. You don't have to do anything to force them.

Im hoping this ESPN report is just posturing before the final bids come in. Try and drive the bids up by making them an offer so good its hard to turn down, stating the club will be worth $10bn in the next few years as well pointing to a very bright future. I believe it will be worth $10bn, but only if they sell the club gets investment in.

Discourage potential investors by leaving a plethora of negative reviews to try and reduce Glazer staying options?
This, but also inform these investors beforehand, before they put in a bid. Get US fans to start protesting around their houses and at their American Football ground. Thats the only way I think.

We made them back track on the super league - so same thing again

Need to make the protests itself a news story, not a sports story
