There is every possibility that Morata might be announced by the weekend, but my gut feeling tells me that the early meltdown we have experienced, is quickly becoming the actual reality. Our new signings need to be embedded in the squad well before the season, but I can't see it happening.

You think we would stop all negotiations before the actual window closes just because of a plead to get players in before pre season?
I think we wil, be willing to up our offer before we leave, but wont stop negotiations should that fail. Also, everyone should know by now that every manager would prefer to know their full squad before pre season, its just unrealistic if you are about to have a busy window and dont want to overpay by shit-tons.
Optimistic that we'll get Morata and Perisic done, even if it means paying over the odds.

Next week may see us signing Matic. That's the most we'll get before the tour. The winger transfer may wait till being done during the tour and it's not very urgent. Morata and the midfielder are more priority.
