I don't follow the flat season at all really so I thought i'd put a few bob on a couple of Dans's tips for a laugh, and to my surprise they came through. I've made quite a bit of cash this week, although today wasn't too clever.

Anyway, i'm sure you're not interested in a non-poofy sport like racing. ;)

In days gone by I used to supplement my student loans with racing profits....never get the time to follow it properly anymore...

Always good for a laugh mind

Right tomorrow's tips, all bar one at Ayr:

225 Trade Fair
240 Najeebon
315 Football Crazy (you know it makes sense)
420 Little Jimbob
455 Desert Royalty
525 Misternando (think he was pulled today in favour of this race which says something)

Davo opposes me big time. This'll be interesting. Cept Crimson Dancer, who's trainer even says is not a horse for turf.

In fairness I haven't exactly put the time and effort in, and went for Crimson Dancer to oppose you..

I'll still piss all over you mind

Probably

If you guys see some good ones coming over here for the Breeders Cup let me know. Meanwhile:

3.15 Retirement
4.20 Saida Lenasera
4.55 The Fairy Flag
5.25 Altitude Dancer

Challenged from all over the globe. The end of my tipping could be nigh and JSV will be back to being a bored househusband ;)

You've just looked for the favs in all races to oppose me you conman trickster lowlife welsh rarebit. Putting money on your "tips" Davo?

Nonsense...I've followed my basic rules, apart from Crimson Dancer where there was nothing in it, so I made it interesting

If I have time to look at the odds tomorrow...probably not tho

I was surprised that there was some info about US horses on the site. We have a site like that: drf.com. Belmont Racetrack is only a few miles from my home.

I can't bet on the horses I selected, so I hope that the horses that you guys have money on win.

Tomorrow I either do well or lose all profits. Either way it's gonna be a laugh.

225 Trade Fair-------------winner (hardly surprising mind)
240 Najeebon--------------NP (won by a 66/1 shot - very surprising)
315 Football Crazy----------2nd

kennyj has a winner in the 315!

Bad day, gonna get worse - just backed Silk Fan in the 400.

1 winner here too.

Ended the day up, so not too bad at all.

1 winner and 3 2nd places.

cnut of a day - my winner was worth feck all at 1/3 and of the places only Desert Royalty was at all interesting pricewise.

Best winner of the day goes to kennyj for Retirement, SP 11/4.

Tomorrow is Gold Cup Day at Ayr.

My bet is Frizzante, with Vanderlin as an ew chance.

Which horses did you back?

I just followed your tips. I think it was £5 on each. I might have taken a few each way though.

Today I'm looking at a double which will pay out at about 3/1.

The two horses are Cartography in the 240 and Three Graces in the 355.

Ive layed Cartography. As a son of Zafonic is not suited to ground with cut and may struggle even though the BHB ratings say otherwise.

Good luck anyway

Had a tenner on three graces at 7/4. Great tips again Dans.

4 for today

230 Clarisse (7/2)
340 Vienna's Boy (11/4)
425 Danehurst (11/8)
445 Alpen Wolf (9/1)

I'd think about doubling Vienna's Boy and Danehurst and also perhaps an ew double on the other two.

Hopefully no one else thought about those combos!

Took the last two as singles in the end too and both came up trumps.

Had a fiver on Alpen Wolf but decided not to go ew. Got a bit cocky.

Ooooooo Tantina, the beast of all beasts runs today in the 240. Chance to double your money in my opinion.

odds are 4/7

Bof.

Theres no getting away from Tantrina, although the short price is prohibitive, perhaps as a banker in a yankee.

Others on the card with an excellence chace at better odds are

3.50 Dupont who is taking a big drop in class and if anything like his best will take this.

4.25 Mersey Sound has been running well and has good form at this trip

The other worth a good luck at is

3.35 Silvaline at Ponty. This will be my main bet of the day as has been in fine form and will make most of a good draw today. Took place odds on betfair this morning and also had a win bet at 10/1

A placepot on the Goodwood card looks a decent bet today.

Ew treble on Vindication (315), Polish Corridor (335) and Calcutta (350).

Had an ew sniff at Marching Band the other Group 2 entry horse at 20s in the Tantina race at 240.

Small ew on Papeete in the 300 at 10s.

Small ews on Habanero and Seeking Answers in the 205, both at 6s. If either of these make a profit I'll stick it and a bit more on Tantina.

I left Tantina alone in the end - thank feck!

Bad day. Thanks to Calcutta any small profit on the treble was lost. Only Habanero placed of the other three.

Bugger.

Let's get this thread going again - JSV will be without income unless I post my tips, the lazy housewife.

Manaar at 16s in the 145.

Also having a small ew on Gold Medallist in the 110.

More later........
